Beckers 1,136
Anyone done this before? Do they come out good? Any tips?
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Fellow Fiend Stefa70 reported that she makes baked potatoes in her crock pot in this thread: http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/8362-stefs-walking-in-a-disney-wonderland/page-4#entry227801 I've been meaning to try it, but have not yet. nutters4wdw......Amy 5
I've done it. I thought they were good, a little better than microwaved. Definitely worth doing again.
Beckers 1,136
Thanks! We are having some family over for Mother's Day and are doing steaks on the grill and I don't want to use the oven and there isn't much room on the grill. Steaks, baked potatoes, TE corn bread, green beans with a twist. Yum yum
alexwyattmommy 181
I did it once. I was so afraid they would explode, but they didn't. Clean up was a little harder than it needed to be because I didn't know about cleaning it while it was still warm.
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
When I do them in the oven, I rub them with some olive oil and sprinkle them with coarse salt to crisp them up. I wonder if that would work in a crockpot?

I wonder if that would work in a crockpot? I think it might work if you take the lid off the crockpot for the last 30 minutes or so. Otherwise I don't know if they'd get crispy at all. Beckers 1,136
I never eat the outside skin so that doesn't matter. I'm just trying to avoid running the oven.

Crunchy, olive oil, salted skin is the best part of the potato!!!!
