mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
I read on FB that somebody was there earlier this month and the bridge back by the spillway that led to the cabin was gated off. Can any Fiends on the scene confirm or refute this?
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Fellow Fiend The Troll, who is at the Fort, just checked on this and posted photos in his trip report. The bridge is not gated off. There is fencing on either side of the bridge, which has been in place for a while now, but the bridge itself is not gated off. mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
OK, that's what I figured, that whomever posted that saw fencing and didn't investigate further.

Fugarwe(MN John(Juanito)) 23
I did notice a bunch of new "No Carts" signs in that area. More than usual.
DinDavie 37
The fences have barb wire on the top and seem to be in place to prevent anyone from fishing off the bridge or adjoining embankments. The fence also surrounds a pump that is pumping water from the canal into Bay Lake. I was there on May 2-7 and had heavy rains for the first two days. I noticed the 1900 and 1700 loops were completely dry. The 1900 loop normally has standing water in such weather. The problem with the pump is that it is heard 24 hours a day on the 100, 200 and 300 loops. You can guess were I camped.

AC in A2......Aaron 693
The fence and bar wire is the first step to keep us out of golden oaks I know how to use fence cutters. Or just use a machete. It worked for John Rambo.
Lou... 3,118
The fence and bar wire is the first step to keep us out of golden oaks I think the 1.7 million dollar minimum price tag will keep us out.
