Tri-Circle-D 2,059
We found a crazy number of teens in Cottontail Curl. Did I mention I love Little Bear? Dislike! It seems that the 1500 loop has become party central. It's the new 2000. TCD
BuckeyeFortFan 35
Dislike! It seems that the 1500 loop has become party central. It's the new 2000. TCD We never looped 2000 much as it is kind of out of the way but it would definately have SMB to be on this loop, if you weren't part of this group. See all those kids standing on the road behind us? That is about how they looked when we squeezed our cart around them. And maybe it was my judgemental imagination, but I got a "not of this land" vibe from them, so as we all know, forget couth or consideration. Fuego.

It is a huge problem to which the idiots who run the Fort turn a blind eye. Imagine being a poor slob that has to camp in a pop up camper or tent and what it's like in that one Comfort Station that 1500 and 1600 share. How do you say? Ay! Ay! Ay! Dios Mia! I think it's great that groups of youths want to camp at the Fort- but somebody needs to police the number of guests per site. And the overcrowding would stop if they would require tents to be on the pads. If all your crap don't fit, then rent another site. That would just about eliminate the problem right there. But, alas, the Fort is run by idiots. TCD
BuckeyeFortMama 43
Glad PW went well for everyone. Interesting, most teachers would be happy you remembered what they told you months ago. I was sweating it. Mama always worries I guess. I got a kick out of how she reacted to them just taking the wind out of her sails by actually knowing that the big thing on their neck makes sounds. Mmmm, steak. I was playing with BuckeyeFortFan's phone today and found some HDDR pics we took for you. I was a little late taking this one. TCD and BFF I'm not ignoring you, but when men are talking it's best not to interrupt.

BuckeyeFortMama 43
What's with that corn? I thought they had corn on the ear. They went from corn on the cob to no corn, then to this. I really prefer this because it is EXCELLENT on the mashed potatoes.
BuckeyeFortMama 43
March 26, 2013 This is the worst day of our trip so this shouldn't take long to get this day on. We had decided to sleep in since we were on vacation and the oldest wasn't feeling so well at the end of the night last night, but by morning we were all up at normal time and this Mama was feeling quite poorly as well. I knew we needed strep cultures and antiobiotics, we've been down this road before. So this was our first trip ever to an ER for something so simple. We had an ADR for lunch at DHS, so we had to get a move on. We tried Centra Care, but there was a line at the locked door and the place was not that impressive so we turned right around and headed over to Celebration Hospital. We walked in around 8 and we were 3rd in line. We were seen, and had our first dose of antibiotics in us and were back out the door by 9. The waiting room was full by then. We decided to drop BFF and the others at DHS so they could make their ADR and we headed back to get cleaned up and go pick up our scripts at Walgreens. The process for a drop off at the park is awesome. We drove right up and dropped them off and headed right back out. We made the stupid, stupid, stupid mistake of not going home the back way. BFF does all the driving and I wasn't feeling well anyway, but this is what we found. Yup, no turning back at this point. This sucks. Look at what's behind us. This was 10:30am. This is SPRING BREAK. We got back to the fort and got this text. They made it to my favorite place for lunch. I was a little upset. We only made 5 ADR's for this whole 11 day trip. The next pic was of my little man eating his lunch. They played without us while we recouperated. When we came back to DHS I just had to laugh. They were parking in the Stage lot. When we rope drop we usually park in 41 or 40 but they were parking people in the last row in Stage when I pulled in. They waved me and my big F-350 past where they were parking and on down to row 41. I think they didn't think I could drive or park that big truck so they let me park all by myself right next to the entrance. I'll take it. The best part was we made it in time for dinner. The kids were happy to be all together again. The Brown Derby was not that impressive. It had been 7 years since we had eaten here but I remember it being a great restaurant. We were not impressed today. Fortunately this made up for it. Go ahead TCD, give me a hard time! I don't care! I love these guys. My kids were not so impressed. Why were my kids so bored? Because I was keeping them from this. Yes we are Disney Fans through and through. And we are big Pixar fans. We really love where Pixar has taken movie making. The creativity and storytelling is amazing and I think it really does honor what Walt did. So at the end of the day some of the family had done Indiana Jones and Disney Jr and the whole BuckeyeFortFamily had rode the Backlot Tour, ENJOYED Mulch, Sweat, and Shears and One Man's Dream. We had some time to kill before Fantasmic so we shopped. It was getting cold fast so we picked up some beach towels for warmth and headed in. It's a packed house. AND It is freezing, but we are sitting on the parade spot tablecloth. If you are trip report reader you'll remember we used this trick in Dec to keep from having to sit on those freezing metal benches. It's cold! That "not officially a tornado" brought us a cold snap that SMB. We're on spring break to get away from the cold and we wished we had our knit hats and gloves. So before we head back to the camper, where the heater is cranking, I'll leave you with some Fantasmic pictures. It only gets better from here!

BuckeyeFortMama 43
March 27, 2013 Well, we decided to sleep in again since we were on the mend and we had been out late in the cold the night before with Fantasmic. Not a smart idea, but I'll be getting to that. Here we are loading up the golf cart at 8:36 or so the camera says. And we headed for the marina, but.... we had some issues with our Kenny cart this time around with the battery off and on and we barely made it to this point before we realized we would have to take the charger. It was 8:41. We played while BuckeyeFortFan ran back to Little Bear. The Troll says all Disney trip reports require a picture of a 4yr old on a slide. I did my best. He's 3. This is the most popular piece of playground equipment EVER! Why? While we waited for BFF, the carriage came past. Nothing prettier than the sight of a heavy horse in harness in the early morning. Unless of course it's a Clydesdale instead of Percheron. I can't wait until the part of this trip report where my Clydesdale background plays into the best Disney experience we may have ever had, but I digress. Ok, it's 8:46 now and we are finally all back on the golf cart with the charger and headed to the marina. Until we meet up with this traffic jam. We moved at the speed of horse for a while until they turned here. And let's face it this is a classic Fort Wilderness moment. It's 8:49 and we are just getting to the marina. No first spot bragging rights today. The park opened at 7 and we have missed 2 hours. I'm not gonna dwell on this because honestly we had a ball that day. We took it easy and really enjoyed ourselves. Hey look, the walk is swept today. I never get tired of this, walking on the dock towards the MK boat. LOVE IT! It was gorgeous this morning. Everything was beautiful so we took a lot of pictures. Anybody homesick for their beautiful second home? ? Green Flag headed our way. We love that anticipation of the boat docking.... The next 3 pics show the personalities of my family to a tee. See the chapped lips on my little guy? The beautiful sun in these pics is so deceiving. It's still cold. How about some more pictures of the beautiful ride over? I tried to get artsy with my camera. There's the big boat full of people. Almost there. All ashore who's going ashore. When I read someone else's trip report and see the same boat ride over and over it makes me happy! The Clydesdale story, I can't wait to tell it. BuckeyeFortMama 43
Ok, we have left off on the Wednesday before Easter. March 27, 2013 We have just arrived at the Magic Kingdom. The park opened at 7am but we are arriving after 9. We found the dancers singing their spring songs on Main Street. Guess what? That gorgeous sun followed us here. But the cold is here too. Everyone is bundled up and still trying to put their hands in the cold water. Really kids? Why? Obligatory Castle Shot. We headed straight to the Magic Carpets of Alladin. Look whose getting on the ride too! How cool they are right in front of us. We had grabbed FP's for Jungle Cruise so we headed on towards Frontierland. A castmember got our attention and asked us to try out a new game, Pirates Adventure. We had time to kill before we could grab our BTMRR FP's so we tried it out. It looked cool, but in order to keep playing Pirate's Adventure our next stop would have been over by the Dole Whip so we walked on to BTMRR. Some of the BuckeyeFortFamily rode Pirates. The 'fraidy cats stayed with Mama because we don't like to see lots of these. The family is back together to ride the Jungle Cruise. That crazy trek made us super HUNGRY and someone is callng for us to "be their guest" so we will. Well, it's 10:39 when we lined up on Gaston's bridge (my husband questions if that's what it's called but I am sure you all know what I mean). I grabbed a picture when we turned the corner to go across the bridge towards BOG. It's a packed house but this line really does move nicely. In less than 15 minutes we are already sitting here. I'm trying to figure out the settings on BFK2's camera. Mine has finally died after more than 10 years of faithful service. So please forgive the grainy pictures and my complaining over the last part of this trip report, but we will muddle through. The girls love this tapestry. I'm sure DaveInTn is dying to see what we ordered. So I'll get to that. Potato Leek Soup, of course. The amazing pork AGAIN! The steak sandwhich, one of my new favorites. French Onion Soup French hot ham and cheese. I don't have a stick up my you know what so I call it a hot ham and cheese. Lunch was excellent and fast. We were passing Pinocchio's by 11:45 on our way to BTMRR. Anyone doing the math that is 1 hour and 6 minutes after we got in line on Gaston's bridge. We of course grabbed our Baby Swap so the crew could ride twice. BFK4 and I decided to try and get a picture. So we waited here. Here comes our train on ride #1. You can see BFF waving in the second to last car with BFK2 and BFK1 and BFK3 are riding in the first seat of the last car. I'm tickled with the second good "my kids on a coaster" picture this vacation. This is ride #2 and they are all in last car. Here they come, time to go check out Jessie and Woody. Lot's of waiting, but we promised a friend at home we would bring back a picture with Jessie and Woody. While we wait for Jessie and Woody to take a break let me tell you no rope drop SMB. It's 12:30 and we have only rode MCOA, JC, Pirates, BTMRR and had lunch. I could have rung about a million teenager necks during our long wait to meet these two. "Andy's coming!" "Andy's coming!" "Andy's coming!" "Andy's coming!" "Andy's coming!" Yes, we heard it over and over and over. Jessie and Woody were sometimes good sports about it. No they never laid on the ground, but they did make fun of the teenagers yelling at them from everywhere but in line or meeting them. Jessie covered Woody's ears once, Woody motioned that the teenagers were crazy, and Jessie once looked around and then shook here head NO as if to say "Andy is not coming" but none of these teenagers got it. Finally after a 25 minute wait it was our turn. I have 2 that love to meet characters. They enjoy talking to the characters. And I have 2 that don't talk to characters and only occassionally meet them. Yes that's us, but here's the final shot. Time to ride another Railroad.
BuckeyeFortMama 43
BFK3 has the camera for the train ride so we have a couple of his pictures to post. We were headed to Main Street and we were on a mission. We have some villians to fight, so we always start with grabbing some new cards. Check out this one. If you haven't figured our what we are doing, we are playing Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. This is how you play as far as I can tell from watching the family do it. BFF can correct me later. You find a portal and then bring it to life with your key card. Then you hold up your character cards and they cast their spells. We played the portals on Main Street and then Adventureland. While we were over there we stopped into the Tikki, Tikki, Tikki Room. We are fans of this place, so you get pictures of it. We played some more portals and shopped. Tiana was walking past us on our way out. Goodbye Magic Kingdom for now. It's almost dinner time. We need to catch a boat, but this time we are taking a little boat. BuckeyeFortMama's favorite color monorail. The new Iron Man monorail. The Grand Floridian yacht. New construction is great when it's not at our place. But this is where we are headed. It is barely 70 degrees and there are people "laying out" in the sun to get a tan? Seriously where are these people from that 70 degrees is warm enough to lay nearly naked on the beach? I need to stop here for the night, because the next update will need every picture spot I have. I can do an entire trip report about this dinner alone. Stay tuned all you carnivores we are going to OHANA's, or is it O'HANA's, or 'OHANA's or Oh who really cares how you spell it the food's amazing!

I have always figured if I get there for lunch I'd get the french onion soup and the turkey sammich, but now I don't know. Seriously where are these people from that 70 degrees is warm enough to lay nearly naked on the beach? Quebec. Those people are naked all the time.
