BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
From the Disney Food Blog... Spotted! “Monorail” Kids’ Plates in Epcot’s JapanApr 8th, 2013 by AJ. I absolutely cannot resist a stroll through Mitsukoshi Department Store in the Japan Pavilion whenever I am in Epcot. I mean, I have to have my Pocky fix, don’t I?! And on my last stroll through the store, something caught my eye that I was SUPER excited to see! A little background: One reader question that we get over and over again is: Where can we find those cute kids’ plates that they use at Teppan Edo? Kids' Plates at Teppan Edo -- Spotted! It seems that guests think the plates look just like the front of the monorail. (Looking more closely, they may be airplanes, but there are no wings, so I’m all for the monorail theory.) So I was so excited to share these with those of you who have been wondering! To be honest, the price is pretty steep — they will set you back $49 to be exact. But, you’ll have a monorail on your kitchen table, so that’s pretty cool. It Will Set You Back...But Don't You Think Your Little Darling Is Worth It? So practice your “Please Stand Clear of the Door…” speech in English and Spanish. Heck, you might want to learn it in Japanese, too, just for good measure! http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2013/04/08/spotted-monorail-kids-plates-in-epcots-japan/

DaveInTN 3,247
Considering the side benefits, I'm thinking $49 doesn't seem so steep anymore.
Lou... 3,118
I would eat out of one of these every night. And photograph my dinner. And send it to Lou... Watch it, I know where you live and I have people in the area that could drop off a flaming bag at your front door. And Brian said he'd do it. I like Mo's idea. I like her idea too! Monorail plates brings out the worst in people. Considering the side benefits, I'm thinking $49 doesn't seem so steep anymore. I can fight fire with fire. I'll send INC a complete set of these.....free, with the stipulation that she use them once a month, and send photos. Now that would be worth it.

DaveInTN 3,247
Not all the time. In this case? Yes Well there is only one Stanley Cup. And if you send it to me, after enjoying my scotch out of it, I will promptly scratch off all of the Red Wings names. That should leave PLENTY of room for me to take a nail and scratch in the names of several Sabres teams, a couple of Preds teams, and...what the hell, I'll also add the 1990-93 Buffalo Bills. Very true there is only one original...........you can find replicas at every store, garage sale, basement, kids room, etc in SE Michigan though........it being old hat and all. Can you slip a couple Lions teams on there?

Can you slip a couple Lions teams on there? I don't see why not. I touched the Cup once at a JC Penneys in Buffalo when it was on tour. That was around the time of the whole "Brett Hull in the crease" fiasco. It sucks being a Buffalo sports fan. And I'm finding it's not much more pleasant to be a Nashville fan. Thank goodness for the Gators.
ftwildernessguy 778
Bobby says this is just the first in a series of dinnerware influenced by Disney transportation and ride vehicles. Coming soon are the ride vehicles from Mission Space complete with barf bags.
