AC in A2......Aaron 693
Bonus content bragging rights! Disney was in bad need for some new animated characters in 1989. That Friar from Robin Hood was the best they could do? TCD BCBR are yours! Don't knock the Friar. Right behind ya TCD ! Gald to have you here sir! Sweet. I should see about digging out the pics from my first trip with my grandparents. Not sure if I want the hecklers getting shots at 11 year old Jason though. Bring it on! Now I really want to see the pictures! TCD me too I will see what I can do this weekend to scan some in. bring it on I found one to hold you over for now. 1987 I believe. My little sister and myself. AC in A2......Aaron 693
To Tomorrowland! Here we are on the Wedway People Mover: Did you see that?!!! I really loved the skyway. Do you see the ribbons around Dreamflight? That is because we were there for the grand opening. Dreamflight was "If You Had Wings" on my previous trips to WDW but that ride was sponsored by Eastern Airlines, which I believe was in bankruptcy at the time, just before it went under. Someone a bit older than me can correct me if I am wrong on that, but that's how i remember the story. We will be back to Dreamflight, but first we will go to a ride that still exists at WDW: Enough of that, back to Dreamflight for the opening ceremony: In the next update, we will have an oldie but goodie when it was somewhat differentie. And there will be video.

Katman1356...Jason 1,140
Sorry Aaron. repairs to the PUP took precedence.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
More great stuff. I LOL'd at you calling out Jason for not posting fast enough on your thread. I never realized that Dreamflight was different from If You Had Wings. I just thought it was a new name given to the same attraction by Delta. I'm interested in those videos, but they're too long for me. It's pretty neat that you were there for the opening ceremony for Dreamflight. TCD
AC in A2......Aaron 693
Sorry Aaron. repairs to the PUP took precedence. I guess that's an okay reason. :rofl2: More great stuff. I just thought it was a new name given to the same attraction by Delta. I'm interested in those videos, but they're too long for me. It's pretty neat that you were there for the opening ceremony for Dreamflight. TCDI loved those rides. If you look at the videos it shows the ride layout. I am wondering if it is the exact same layout as the Buzz ride?I think it is and is another example of how WDW repurposes old rides ala how they changed Mr Toad to Winnie's Bad Trip Shroom Ride. AC in A2......Aaron 693
Let's continue in 1989 Tomorrowland: And a video of the final scene, before it was updated to what you see today: http://youtu.be/oWs6Pn1lXBU Next up......more 1989 Magic Kingdom including video of a defunct attraction. You will never guess what it is.

I am wondering if it is the exact same layout as the Buzz ride? It has crossed my mind that they kept the same track on the floor for the Buzz ride. I guess I'll need to watch one of those videos to see. Thanks for the video from COP. I love the Mom's computer. That thing was already out of date in 1989. DaveInTN 3,247
Let's continue in 1989 Tomorrowland: Your COP pics are a bit on the creepy side. Reminds me of another Carrousel....anyone remember Logan's Run?
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Your COP pics are a bit on the creepy side. Reminds me of another Carrousel....anyone remember Logan's Run? Sure, I remember Logan's Run. I was only 15 when it came out, so the premise of killing everyone at age 30 didn't seem like such a bad idea to me at the time. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
http://youtu.be/CtxEvvYYkZI Well, I just wasted 18 minutes of my life watching that video. It is well done, and shows both the original and the Delta version. It also mentions a couple of other temporary versions that operated in the time when there was no sponsor for the attraction. I remember the original version, but never saw the others. I actually went on the original version more than most other MK rides. Back in the days of A-E tickets, this attraction was free- no ticket was required. So we always rode it. Several times every visit. The video states that the Buzz attraction uses the same building and track. After watching the video, I believe this is true. I previously thought that they gutted the building and that Buzz was all new. Nope. TCD

TCD I actually do love COP but they need to re-do the final scene. How much would it cost? Not much comparatively speaking. TCD I have no idea what you guys are talking about. Does it have to do with the Manson Family or the Heaven's Gate/Hale Bopp group? Well, I just wasted 18 minutes of my life watching that video. It is well done, and shows both the original and the Delta version. It also mentions a couple of other temporary versions that operated in the time when there was no sponsor for the attraction. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Wow. I am happy to say that I never saw any of the Birthdayland stuff in person. That show is interesting. I couldn't get into it, though. From the very first video, it bothered me that the pink phone on the wall is bigger than the refrigerator. Why? TCD
