Dryadi 0
I will be heading to the Fort this weekend and wanted to know what does everyone think of the restaurant there, the pizza, other take out items?
DaveInTN 3,247
I really like Trails End (the restaurant). It is a buffet for breakfast and dinner, and they feature a menu for lunch. The take out pizza is similar to a frozen rising crust pizza IMO, but the fried chicken is really good and a good deal. They also have some take out breakfast items that are pretty good. Also, if the snack bar at the Meadows pool is open they have some good lunch options, especially the Southern Smothered hot dog.
FortWildernessFan 10
I agree with Dave. Our kids really like the pizza. But my wife and I like the Nachos and wings at Crocket's tavern. We also enjoy the take out fried chicken. The breakfast and dinner buffets are very good and one of the better values on Disney property. The food at lunch is not buffet, but is tasty. Fugarwe(MN John(Juanito)) 23
Kiddyup and Go fried chicken take out meal is the best deal at Disney. And very tasty.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Love the fried chicken (buffet or take out - same thing) the pizza is....ok. Ask for it "well done" and it helps. Takeout wings are decent, but I find the nachos are pretty blah. Lunch at Trails End (dine in) includes some pretty tasty offerings. We've tried the burger and the oyster po boy and both were very good. Breakfast buffet has some good choices - don't skip the cinnamon pecan rolls. Dryadi 0
Thank you! This sounds great . I will remember to ask for the pizza well done.
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
For us, it doesn't make sense to do the dinner buffet because they family size chicken meal is way cheaper, and we can't finish it. It's less than $24 and will easily feed a family of 4. We really like their breakfast, but have never eaten lunch there. The pizza tastes like Digorno's (or however you spell it). It's not terrible, but not great.
rdancemom... Pam 113
The waffles over at the Wilderness Lodge's Roaring Fork are superb too. I can never decide which of the waffle varieties I like best so end up getting one of each when we eat there...
Starbuc71 162
Pizza is definitely Digorno. I saw the Digorno truck there last year. Not worth the money but never found a pizza kids won't eat
alexwyattmommy 181
Ah, that explains why they won't deliver it to you.
Tnvolcamper 0
I enjoyed their pizza. We ordered one and ate it on the porch while my husband and my youngest daughter played checkers...Of course, after a full day at MK, a beer, and relaxing in one of the rocking chairs...I was a happy girl....some frozen pizza that I didn't have to cook made it even better! BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
I will say that pizza ordered the night before (well done) makes a darned good breakfast when you throw it on the grill and put a fried egg on top.
