Dryadi 0
We have a small travel trailer which we store in the summer time . We are constantly dealing with tire problem and those really big ants. We cover the trailer and have covers for the tires too. Suggestions? Thank you!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
There is some kind of powder you can put at the base of the tires and at any other point where things on the trailer touch the ground, like hitch and stabilizers. Don't know the name of it though. The best thing on tires is to move the trailer back and forth a bit periodically, like a foot forward one week, then a foot backward the next week. Keeps the tires from flattening in one spot. I move mine back and forth periodically even in my garage.
Grumpy and Grandma 740
Borax powder as well as Comet usually stops ants, just dust the area around the tires fairly heavy.
Dryadi 0
Thank you! I have also heard that those big ants also mean there is water damage in the wood some where? Is that true?

Is that true?Back ants do go after damp/moist wood. They can be as or more destructive than termites.
