Just checking in. Most of the damage was in my neighborhood in Conway, about 5 miles north of the Airport. We had several very large, crappy laurel oaks come down. Some popped sidewalks many fell across the roads and one even hit the house next door and is still resting on it today. We lost power for about a day because my neighbor had 3 of his trees fall onto the power lines and break them along with the cable line. Everything is cleaned up. I believe it was more a microburst just like the one we had 3 weeks before Charley in August 2004. We need these every once in a while to wake people up to get their trees trimmed up or take down the rotted ones before hurricane season starts. And people please stop planting laurel oaks!!!!!They just suck up water and rot from within.
