pixiesteno 2
Our last trip in May & June of 2011 the quiet pool over by the cabins was in the middle of a large return. I tried to see through the fence what changes were being made but all I could see was dirt. Does anyone know if the deep end of the pool still exists??
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
The deep end went away with the last refurb.
pixiesteno 2
Thanks for the info. DH will be weeping when I tell him. Probably should let him know now so he has time to prepare. Did they make it a zero-entry by any chance??
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Thanks for the info. DH will be weeping when I tell him. Probably should let him know now so he has time to prepare. Did they make it a zero-entry by any chance?? :rofl2:Good one!No way does the Fort get anything nice like a zero entry. All they did was fill in the deep end.Same old size. But, they did add a lot of tiles to show the new depth:That's the former deep end.Three feet deep now. But, if you go near the drain, it's a luxurious 4 and a half feet!TCD
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
But, if you go near the drain, it's a luxurious 4 and a half feet!Woo hoo - cannonball!! :rofl2:
pixiesteno 2
Thanks for the info & photo. I see they nicely put in a big step around the edge for me to trip over; there will be no running and jumping into the pool. Well I guess I will have to suffer through it. Hey pool weather right now would be nice as I sit here typing while the sleet hits my Windows. Looking forward to spring!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
They did add a hot tub.
Brent... Just Brent 83
I have to say that the cabin pool was a life saver the week of July 4th. It was 300x quieter and more relaxed, but it also felt about 20 degrees warmer around it. And as an aside, why didn't they bother putting in some cart parking there? There are just a few spaces and they're always full.
pixiesteno 2
Deep end or not, I agree that it is so much calmer at this pool. Can't wait for Sept.

pixiesteno 2
I think we have had this conversation before. Hopefully within the next year that will be changing. NY government as as whole has gone off the deep end.
DaveInTN 3,247
NY government as as whole has gone off the deep end. That's pretty good...in a thread about swimming pools. :rofl2:Yes, once you said Wellsville I remembered asking that before. NYS government has been off the deep end a long time. But I guess it's getting worse. Those taxes are insane. I hope you have a great trip in September!
alexwyattmommy 181
Those taxes are why I will never willing go back to NY. I've been gone longer than I grew up there. Feel pretty good about that. :D
Lou... 3,118
Anyone other than pixiesteno and Dave, care about the taxes in NY...........NO.Actually, I don't care about the quiet pool either, but at least it's a WDW topic.
DaveInTN 3,247
It's pixiesteno's thread. She willingly participated in the hijack. And technically, taxes ARE a Disney topic. The higher they go, the less money people have to spend at Disney. And then your damn bus will be filled to the gills with nothing but foreigners. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, busman.
