AC in A2......Aaron 693
We were on our way to the marina in the cart.Prior to this trip, we were hoping things would work out for us to take a return trip in December because we had never been to WDW during Christmas time. Therefore we bought APs through DVC member services. The APs cost me like $35-40 more per person than the 10-day hopper would have cost me, so we bought the APs.The thinking was we would be essentially paying less than $200 for our return trip tix.So we headed to the marina and took a boat to the MK:Did you see the crane over the castle? I was wondering about this because of a post by another fiend about a crane there to take down the dreamlights. We have been there in to prior years (2010 and 2011) in early February and no crane. This answered my question. We then hopped Lou's monorail to the TTC to exchange the vouchers for our APs.We wanted that out of the way so we could hit rope drop at MK in the morning. After taking care of the APs, we hopped a boat to Wilderness Lodge to do some resort exploring. We had never been there before so it was a new experience for us.

AC in A2......Aaron 693
On the boat now at the MK dock....destination Wilderness Lodge....Do you see what's missing now? No crane. Lot's of seagulls on the breakwater wall:You can't see the even smaller kid in the front of the boat.....but I took this picture about 5 seconds too late. The maybe 2 year old kid had climbed to the top of the anchor and almost fell out of the damn boat before mom and dad decided to pay a bit of attention. The kid was quick but come on....why is he walking around and climbing crap on a boat in the middle of a lake? Maybe they were just gonna flip him a lifesaver buoy and wish him the best of luck. Here's your sign. Morons. Why not Big Bonelick Falls? FWG, Can you pass along that idea to Bobby?I thought it was brilliant how they placed this headress in a case right where the sun shines through the skylight at thetop of the opposite wall. The picture does it no justice.i guess this is where the other Fort totem poles went.... DD's famous pose:Somehow I feel like this pose that she repeats often may mean trouble later in life. I could be wrong but that's the impression I get.We checked out the menu at Roaring Forks before leaving and sadly never made it back.....that will be remedied in December. We were then on our way back to the Fort. We had big plans to pick up a GAG for Super Bowl pregame.I went to Trails End to order the GAG while DW took the kids to the Settlement playground.Waiting for the GAG on the porch:Soon I had our GAG and we were headed back to our site.Back at our site with the pre-game GAG:We watched the first half of the Super Bowl under the awning and then moved inside at halftime. We were rooting for the Niners so I am glad they made a game of it after the blackout.Tomorrow: A trip off-campus to Sea World

Oh wait........Actually my favorite thing to do there is eat & drink and BS!!!!!!!!!!!! Football would be to much exercise for me.I'ld say football at Gettysnurg to keep warm but we will have fire and alcohol to take care of that. That sounds more like it.Yes, I'm a natural blue.Good memory.....pulling out that quote.Way to take one for the team. CKCK 45
See if you can pick him out. You may also see an old fart in a red shirt and sunglasses, sitting back at free safety playing centerfield. The CM there would not allow the game to start until the odd number of players situation was fixed.....so I got roped into it. Some of you may know I have a horrible back so this was done grudgingly and I mostly stood back and watched things happen......but I couldn't let DS not get his game on bc of a stupid rule like that. Afterward and during was pure pain and it will likely not happen again anytime soon. My wife probably wouldn't have allowed me to play in that game...even with kids. The last time I played flag football I broke my collarbone. It was Thanksgiving morning 3 years ago. I still get in trouble for that one.Lou stopped by and we had a nice conversation for awhile. He also gave me this:Nice that you got to see Lou.He avoids me when I'm at the Fort. I think he's scared. Waiting for the GAG on the porch:See, now you've got me all confused. I'm pretty sure you posted this same pic on your non-trip report sometimes in progress post and pre talking about the Fort so you can confuse CKCK nonsense.Deja vu. I see a world of trouble in your future. She is too darn cute.Hey, are those goldfish? My kids are older, but I still buy goldfish for myself sometimes. Many people don't realize this, but it is a fact that Bay Lake is no more than 3 feet deep at any given point.
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
I probably forgetting some of the things I wanted to say, but I love the pics! I love the slide, the pony, the Super Bowl GAG!I've never been over to the Wilderness Lodge, but we have a 9 night trip coming and only 2 1/2 park days. I want to make it there, but DH thinks I've already got us too scheduled, and we don't have enough Fort time. Apparently, hanging out at the Fort all day and then having a dinner ADR doesn't count as a Fort day. LOL. Maybe I'll sneak over solo.

I think the draft from the large transportation ferries are deeper than that. I think that fact is off by several feet.
