There was landscaping and pathways like shown in the photo on Discovery Island.Plus there's a Castmember standing there looking at this scene. That looks like a Discovery Island costume, not a Fort costume. Did Disney consider DI part of FW?That's a good question.The logo on the DI costumes shown in these old photos included Musket Mickey, as did the River Country logo at that time.As you may remember, River Country and Discovery Island tickets were sold from the ticket booth that still stands at the Fort, along the west edge of Clementine's beach. Access to DI was from boats that left from the Fort's dock. I believe that at one time boats also ran back and forth from the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge, but I'm not sure of that. I wouldn't say that DI or River Country were considered to be part of Fort Wilderness. They were separate attractions with separate cost of admission.TCD Quote Link to post Share on other sites
