BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
After several "adventures" on the road, we now travel with:Big tool box (stays in the truck all the time) - equipped with enough stuff to change a starter, or other repairs not requiring an actual lift. I think that thing weighs 100 lbs by itself.Truck parts (long trips only) - not kidding, I think there's at least an alternator in there, quite probably spark plugs and a few other things. Those were added after our alternator went at 2am in Mt. Kisco, NY one year.Fully stocked first aid kit (all the time) - with enough stuff to do minor surgery (hey, I travel with crazy border collies)FlashlightPaper towelsDuct TapeBungees/Tie down strapsWaterBeach towelsFrisbeesExtra leashesOk so some of that last stuff has more to do with the dogs than anything, but I really don't worry about ever getting stranded in a snowstorm in that truck. I'm pretty sure there are snacks in the console. Onkel Hans
Onkel Hans 25
Those are some good lists. A lot of it is great stuff just for traveling in general, too.I know I have read posts here about troubleshooting electrical problems--what kind of test equipment do you bring? Any adapters needed? How about stuff to work on your plumbing or just be able to use oddball campground hookups?I guess what I am shooting for here, is what would you recommend for the never-camped-in-a-camper camper. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
DH carries a lot of tools (a lot) including an electrical tester thingy (sorry - not my department). Actually came in handy when a neighboring camper was trying to troubleshoot something wonky on his TT.
caveat lector 181
I have a garage full of tools. I value quality in my tools, so the brands are what you would expect. A store called harbor freights has afforded me the opportunity to carry an enlarging set of tools on trips. There aren't great quality, but they are cheap (and some disposable). For everything else, I just refer to Carols list above. :)

Andrew Roberts 17
I had to change an axle in a gas station in Mount Eagle Tn once on my 5er in 2002. I keep a ton of tools with me. 1150 miles is a long way from home
