DaveInTN 3,247
Thought I'd share a pic of our lamp here. We borrowed Stef's idea of using a milk can. We had a very heavy, very old one lying around that we've had for years. DW painted it like Minnie (we have 5 daughters afterall). I'm really happy with how it turned out. spoggy........Steve 3
For anyone who has built a "big ear" Mickey. Did you have to change the spacing between the ears, or will the original 4" down each side do?spoggy
AuburnJen 777
yes, i did one for a Fiend and changed the spacing...however, I am old school and did it by "eye" and not measuring

RVinMomma 4
We tried to build one of these and when we went to cut a hole for the ear the hole saw broke the large globe into a few pieces :-(Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
doodlebug....Cherie 461
When my husband made ours, he made a special blade for his soldering gun and melted the hole instead of cutting it. It worked like a charm!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
I didn't have a hole saw, so I just drilled several tiny holes around where I wanted the hole and used my dremmel to cut in between the holes.
parrothead7368 aka Norm 101
The hole saw is the toughest part, you have to go slow and steady.Best Regards,Norm
