BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Ok, I know SOME of you actually try and eat healthy on vacation. Or you're like us and after a week or 2 you just need to eat something resembling a vegetable! Either way, here's an interesting article from AllEars on where to find healthy, tasty salads at WDW...http://land.allears.net/blogs/kristin-ford/2013/01/where_to_find_healthy_tasty_sa_1.htmlA few excerpts... Broccoli Peppercorn Salad It contains mixed greens, garden vegetables (including peas, corn and carrots), chicken, broccoli, bacon and Parmesian tossed with a creamy Peppercorn dressing." What the Disney description doesn't tell you is that the grilled chicken also is served warm on the salad... Barbecued Chicken Salad [Flame Tree Barbecue, Animal Kingdom] ...I finally hit the jackpot at Backlot Express. Cantaloupe and Cucumber Salad Anyone got any to add? While it's not super healthy, I would recommend the wedge salad at the Tune-In Lounge at Hollywood Studios. I can't remember if it's just on the bar menu or if you can order it next door at 50s Prime Time also.
ImDownWithDisney 342
Roaring Fork at WL has the best salads on the property, IMHO.
Katman1356...Jason 1,140
It's ironic I eat more salad at Disney World than any where else....Of course its usually Ceasar salad but hey it has green leafy things in it.
SCTigerCock 171
Thanks IDWD, will keep roaring forks in mind next week. I'm sure I will be looking for a salad/vegies sometime.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
I've had the broccoli chicken salad at Columbia Harbor House a couple of times and it's quite good. Just ask for the dressing on the side because they have a tendency to drown it. I also like getting a side of the coucous and throwing it in with the salad.
Beckers 1,136
My parents love the chicken and strawberry one from Plaza Restirant.
magnoliafig 51
I had the Chinese chicken wrap at Earl of Sandwich a couple days ago. It was very good. Light on the ginger soy dressing, and heavy on the greens. It's something I'd eat here at home. :)
