DaveInTN 3,247
The detail in that place is impressive. I especially liked Washington DC and San Fran. There was one pic of San Fran that was confusing...it had firemen and a collapsed building. Earthquake scene?

For some reason when I was there, I got the impression that was an art sculpture in the water. Although hard to tell from the picture.

mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
OK, now I'm exploring the rest of the park. The new few pics are from Safari Trek. Kiddie ride similar to the Tomorrowland Cars, but they are Safari Jeeps, with Lego animals in the landscapingThis is some of the theming around Coastersaurus. A mild, decent wooden coasterOh, see the sign. Many of the lines had central areas with gates where kids could play with Legos while parents walked the line.Oh, and I have NO ride photos at all. On any attraction that was even mildly thrilling, they made you put bags, cameras, etc in holding bins at load/unload.This was the Boating School in Lego CityThis was at the entrance to Lego Discovery Center. I think school groups, etc, can set up sessions in here.OK, now we're coming to the Water Ski show. They have preserved some of the original Cypress Gardens spirit in this show, but it is definitely kid/Lego themed now.It is called: Pirates Cove Water Ski ShowComing up, my absolute favorite part of Legoland! mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
OK, now we're coming to my absolute favorite part of Legoland. I could spend HOURS in here. Even though I had never seen the original, I could tell they preserved/restored this area with great care. Here we go, the original Botanical Gardens of Cypress Gardens. They have added just a bit of Lego flair to the place, but not much. There was a Travelocity thing going on. There were about 5 or 6 knomes hidden in the gardens. Did I find them all? Lets seeFound one right awayNow just strolling the gardensYes, that's a live gatorAs you can see they have more work to do, as there were a couple of fences in the gardens with areas that were not ready for the public. And that is photo limit. Can you imagine folks. This is in DECEMBER. I can't even imagine what this place is like in the spring!!!

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
OK, that Banyan tree is cool! They aren't very common in Florida.I would go to LegoLand just to see that tree.Great photos, Carol.I agree with you-it's amazing that the gardens were in that condition in December.TCD

stefa70 205
Well thankfully since all the pictures are in order, I'm really guessing that morning pictures start each morning, then when it gets dark, that's the end of the day, and the next daylight picture I have is the next morning :)I guess that makes sense when you take as many pics as you do. I sometimes don't take night shots, then my days melt into one another. Thanks for the Lego shots, would probably never visit there. If I had a quarter for every Lego I sucked up in the vacuum when Nate was young, I'd be rich!

It is another thing you have to be there to appreciate it!I may actually pay money in a year or two to see the gardens in the Spring. They have got to be amazing!!I guess that makes sense when you take as many pics as you do. If I had a quarter for every Lego I sucked up in the vacuum when Nate was young, I'd be rich! Before I got the good camera, my night shots were so crappy that I never took any, so I know what you mean.I sucked up my fair share of legos myself. Still the creativity in the constructions are cool!

Thanks, Carol! Can you pay a separate admission just to see the gardens, or do you have to pay for all?Looking at the website, I don't see separate admission for just the gardens. It looks like the best deal on a 1-day ticket is $64. However, there is a Senior Garden Annual Pass for only $90 and that includes standard parking, so if you coordinate a couple trips within a year, that may be a good deal for ya'llGARDEN PASSSenior Garden Pass includes 12 months of admission to LEGOLAND Florida. Pass is for guests age 60 and up and valid Monday - Friday only.
