mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
OK, after Little Mermaid, myself and my friends decided to break off and skip the Nosh around the World. We had reservations at Garden Grille over at Epcot. So we made our way out of the MK.We had some time to kill, so we left property and went over to where my friends were staying, which was a rental house off 192 past the old Splendid China. (That was spooky driving by that place)Here are a few pictures of their house. Now we've made our way to Epcot and are waiting on our dinner tableWe were seated at an upper level table which I don't really like, cause some of the time you get a lovely view of the kitchen door There's my buddy :)Now that dinner is over (sorry, no food pictures, it was nearing the end of the trip, and the end of the day, and was running out of picture steam)I stop at my favorite fountainworking my way out of Epcot

mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Unfortunately, our times for TSM were so spread out that we were never able to ride as a group, and also our Press Event friends were not available on Monday However, there were a few of us who had close enough times together that we got to ride.I had a terrible score this timeHmmm, they were bringing Monsters back out in 3DNext, a few of us dropped into the new at the time Pirates thingIt is quite cool and a HUGE improvement over Narnia, although I wish you didn't have to stand still for so long. That kills me. More coming next!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
A few of us then decided to go through the backlot tourIt's amazing to me what the camera can do to props and costumes, they all look so different in personSo sad...... mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
After we left the backlot tour, we did some wandering.Oh, it also looks like we went to MuppetvisionThen we all met up for Star ToursThen I met with some folks over at the Writer's Stop for some socializing and drinks, and the bottom fell out rain wise. I got soaked running over to High Octane to grab a couple of drinks. Then myself, and my two dining buddies had dinner over at Cape MayAt that point, there was more rain in the forecast, we were chilly and wet, and the mini golf got cancelled. I went back to the camper to get warm and dry, and then on Tuesday, I spent the entire day breaking down. It took forever, cause there was rain on and off all day and I had to get things semi dry before packing them up.I've got a few more posts of my final golf cart tour of the Fort on Tuesday night.More coming soon!! Tri-Circle-D 2,059
That has to be the quickest finish to a TR ever!Well done.It looks like there were more decorations up two weeks before Christmas than there were when we arrived at the Fort on 12/30. A lot of folks had already taken their decorations down by then.TCD
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Oh, I have one more post script about my drive home. Normally, I drive home all the way up I-75 to Atlanta, then head East on I-20. Well this time I took, I-10 East, then up 231 to I-65 through dreaded Dothan, Troy, Montgomery, etc.I HATE, HATE, HATE that route. (Did I say I HATE that route). However, due to wondrous technology. I was able to see on a screen, IN MY TRUCK (almost) live weather radar that the entire state of Georgia was socked in with heavy rain, but the FL panhandle and Alabama were clear. Also was able to see that the closer you got to Atlanta, the traffic patterns were showing red, meaning gridlock.Isn't technology wonderful!! Just a mere 4 years ago, that wasn't possible, and I would have possibly been sitting on I-75 behind an accident or some other backup. So as much as I hate the South Alabama route, it made for a much easier drive home!!!!And as such I'm about to check radar once again to determine which way I'm driving down in just an hour from now :)
