ctaurie1 - AKA Chris 9
Our family has had a change of plans for the holidays and it now looks like we will have no family trip to Grandmas this year. So, we are looking to do Christmas in the RV. We did the Fort in January and now looking for something new. Our girls are 11 and 8. I would like to find a destination where we can do an old fashioned "It's a Wonderful Life" kind of holiday. We live about 50 miles north of Tampa and would prefer to stay in Florida...Looking for suggestions from fellow Fiends...Thanks,Chris
Gots2pitt.. Jeff 64
Sorry, can't really help. Most all of the campgrounds around me will be closed for the winter.
dblr....Rennie 224
If you look outside of Florida I have heard that Williamsburg Va. has a wonderful Christmas feel to it from the colonial days not a commercial feel to it, but that probably farther then you are looking for. SCTigerCock 171
I know you said within Fl, but throwing out James Island County Park in the Charleston, SC area. Can be hard to get week-end reservations, but they decorate the park nice and close to Charleston, SC.Hope you find something you really enjoy.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Have you ever been to the River Ranch campground in Lake Wales?I haven't, but I friends of mine have- it isn't "Wonderful Life" themed- it's more of a dude ranch theme, but I've heard it's a nice place. Here's a link to their website: http://wgriverranch.com/TCD
Discamper 394
I have been to River Ranch many of times it's of fun. You will need to bring a golf cart or rent one because it's a big pace of property.
