Cranium Command opened at the park on October 19, 1989, and offered a fun look at how “the lean, mean thinking machine,” the human brain, worked. Guests first watched a video in which a rookie recruit, Buzzy, was assigned to take the controls of a 12-year-old boy’s brain. They then entered a theater to join Buzzy inside the boy’s head and saw firsthand how the boy’s brain reacted when different things happened throughout his day.

I loved Body Wars. It was opened one time when we were there in 2005 or 2006 I think. It was a bit rough! I just thought it was a neat way to teach about the body while having fun! I still think it would be great, just needs a really good refurbishment like they did with Star Tours.

The Cranium Command attraction did not age well. I remember taking my kids to see this before it closed. They had no idea who Dana Carvey or Kevin Nealon were, and had never heard of Hans and Franz. I think they knew John Lovitz, because he had shown up in a movie they saw. And then there was Bobcat Goldwaith. Really? Whoever did the casting for that short should have been fired. They had just about every washed up comedian from the 80's in that short film. It must have been out of date when they filmed it. This was a strange little attraction. I sure do miss it.

I don't remember John Goodman. I do remember Norm from Cheers, but I couldn't remember his real name -I think it's George Wendt.

You are absolutely right. I just found a video of it on YouTube, and it was George Wendt as the stomach!!

Thanks for posting the videos, Carol.

That was a good show, but it is way out of date now.

Of course, there is no good reason why they couldn't update the video and make it work.

Except that they're cheapskates.

It's a shame that pavilion sits dark like it does.

See I disagree. I don't even think it needs to be updated!! Disney parks are for the kids AND their parents. Some of the stuff they have "updated" to the current teeny bopper crap have absolutely NO relevance to me. Now 80s SNL Comedians, LOVE IT!!!!

I see your point, and I kind of agree with it. On a personal level. I would personally love to see the original version of Carousel of Progress, the old display from the exit of Space Mountain, and even the old Mission to Mars ride. I think it's cool to see how things used to be. But, the name of the game is to get people moving through the turnstyles, and that means they have to keep things updated. Have you seen Captiain E/O since they brought that back? That show did not age well. I'm not even sure if it's still open, and I don't think it gets much traffic. The majority of folks today do not want to see stuff that is out of date.

I didn't see the original Captain EO, but have seen it a couple times since it was brought back. It was kinda cool once or twice, and I kinda saw some neat things, like I "think" thats where Star Trek TNG got their inspiration for the Borg.
