Great Irish Hooley comes to Raglan Road

Over Labor Day weekend, Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island hosts its first "Great Irish Hooley," a boutique Irish festival similar to those found in Ireland and some U.S. cities. The event, taking place from August 31 through September 3, features food, beverages, music, dancing, face painting, and more. Performances at the event include:

• Full Set (Friday through Monday), a popular Irish band whose debut album was released last year;
  
• Elevation (Saturday and Sunday), a U2 tribute band;
  
• Creel (all weekend), Raglan Road's house band;
  
• The Raglan Rogues (Thursday through Monday), a Dublin band performing Irish folk & traditional tunes;
  
• Danny Burns (Friday through Monday), Irish ballads and contemporary Irish music;
  
• Johnny "Snaggs" Norton (Saturday through Monday), Irish folk, ballads, and traditional sing-alongs; and
  
• The Raglan Road Irish Dancers (all weekend), the six-member house dance troupe.
  

Saturday, Sunday and Monday will feature Irish dance workshops and two-hour Ceili (KAY-lee) set-dancing events.
