mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Jiko is one of the restaurants I have not tried yet. I've been to dinner at Boma once, and there was too much "spicy" on the buffet. I'm really worried Jiko will be the same at a HUGE price.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Carol you've gotta try it. We finally did a couple of years ago and it definitely ranks up there as one of our all time favorite WDW restaurants.Like Boma, some of the dishes do have some spices that are unusual (at least for us) but we didn't have anything that tasted funky or was at all "hot and spicy". Brian wasn't a big fan of Boma at all - mostly because of the different spices used in most of the dishes, and that there were way more veggie dishes than he cared to try.He loved Jiko a lot (I think he had the braised shortrib) and we're going to try and get back there again this year.If you don't want to commit to a "whole hog" meal (and the price that goes along with), they have a nice bar area where you can order off the menu too and you could try splitting an entree or a few apps to see if it's your cup of tea. We're actually talking about eating in the bar next time just so we don't have to worry about making an ADR ahead. :)
