AuburnJen 777
According to a CM, this should be done by now, as it was scheduled for two days to complete. This was taken after the first day of work.
fladogfan aka Gretchen 259
I wondered when that bridge would be fixed...good thing!
rdancemom... Pam 113
CM was wrong. Yesterday the concrete was broken up and removed at each end. Today those ends were covered with plastic sheeting. I'm guessing that means it's either ready to pour or recently poured. Given the abundance of rain today, I'm voting for almost ready to pour. Either way, bridge is still closed. On the plus side, Starla had to walk all the way around it this afternoon and got lucky enough for a close look at the gator in the canal under the bridge. Discamper 394
I hope they use the new plastic planks that will last a 100 years. I just helped a friend redo his boat dock and it look great and no more splinters in our feet
Starla 21
I'll see if I cant get down there later and take another picture or two for the lovely content Popo.... ^.^ :cop: In addition to the Bridge, They were also doing some work over by the cabins the other morning, by the first four-way stop... I took some pics for you all....Not sure what exactally they were doing, but judging by the equipment, they were trimming the trees and doing some wire work.... ^.^
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I hate to be "That Guy," but that is not an old railroad bridge. The FWRR ran by near there, but never crossed that canal. Here's an old map that shows where the tracks went. That has always just been a pedestrian bridge:TCD
AuburnJen 777
Wishful thinking then. They are still repairing a bridge, lol
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
I doubt seriously they will used the engineered wood. They just recently replaced a lot of the dock material at the Marina and used good ole Pressure Treated lumber.
Lou... 3,118
I hate to be "That Guy," but that is not an old railroad bridge. It could have been for a teenie tiny railroad. mouseketab.....Carol and Nicki aka Rebelstand
