Starbuc71 162
I wonder why manufacturers stopped putting the front windows on TT's. I know you may find some variation on some off brands, but it was such a nice feature when I was growing up to be able to look out the front window at the campsites we saw an unusual 5er at the fort last time that had a wrap around window on the front. That was awesome.

wendinator 109
User "jeffaaronmiller" posted these videos on Reddit that were taken by his family on a trip in June of 1989. Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Great find on those videos, Wendinator. I just watched the first one- it shows the '80's version of the ending of the Carousel of Progress. It also shows the Skyride and many more things that no longer exist at the MK. At the end, there is a brief sequence showing the Main Street Electric Parade, and the Tinkerbelle float is totally different. All of this is very interesting and worth a watch. I haven't watched the other videos yet, but I intend to. Whoever filmed all of this was a trooper. Video equipment was big and bulky in 1989. TCD

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
The guy who posted them said, "my dad actually owned a videography company back in the day, so he spent entire vacations behind the camera." That's kind of funny. You can tell that his family doesn't share his enthusiasm for the video camera. When those big VHS cameras came out in the late 80's, Mrs. TCD had a cousin who would lug one around to all the family gatherings and shove it in people's faces and ask them questions. It was so annoying. We all used to fall over each other trying to avoid him. I wonder what happened to all of his tapes? TCD
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
I just watched the second video linked by Wendinator in post #1291, above. The beginning of this video shows the family unloading from a motorhome in the Epcot parking lot. I wonder if they stayed at the Fort? I would love to see video of that!
