Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
DH has promised I can purchase a new sewing machine once we get the new TT. My current sewing machine is an older model that doesn't zig or zag. There is one quilt I am working on that needs the zig and the zag.any ideas? I am not looking for the cadillac of sewing machines just a nice good dependable one.
doodlebug....Cherie 461
I like Husqevarna sewing machines, Nicki. I have a cadillac but my DD has a really nice all purpose machine.

Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
my problem is that i typically love the old medal machines. I am so out of date with the new ones

scooterminnie...paula 20
If you are looking for older, I have an older Bernina 930 that has some deco stitches and is all metal(heavy thing). I mostly use Brothers and have had very good luck running the stuffings out of them.

scooterminnie...paula 20
I have done a lot of sewing. My sister-in-law and I use to run a business. In a 2 year time period, I made over 2,500 pillows, baby saying embroideried and sewed fabric on edge and backed and stuffed. I have embroideried over 3,000 shirts, jacket, blankets, and anything that I could put embroidery.
Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
just a basic quilter here. nothing fancy
CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
I still have my old treadle machine! It makes better stitches than my much newer Singer. If I were in the market for a new one, have no idea what I would buy.
scooterminnie...paula 20
Vikings are a great machine. Just don't break it down in Indianapolis, IN because if you didn't buy it from them they won't fix it. And all four or five shop are owned by the same person.
