Day 8 - Monday #2

Yes, the Second Monday of the trip. That's usually a sign that it's been a good trip. It definitely had been up to this point, for the most part. Lots of friends. Lots of fun. Lots of food. You know the deal.

I woke up much later than I had planned. I think Justin was already up. There was coffee and then we were off to DAK to meet up with friends who were still lingering from the weekend.

It was hot. And sunny.

And DAK was CROWDED.

I felt bad. That was Justin's second trip into that park and it had been that way both times. He proclaimed he never wanted to go back.

We got fastpasses for Everest and then I wanted Ice Cream. Good ol' soft serve. We found that and then met up with some folks. We ended up deciding we wanted a group picture. I'm not going to post that because I don't have everyone's permission, but I will post this one since it kinda sums the experience up. There was some cradling of Simba or some foolishness here that took FOREVER. Think about 20 minutes.

That's my friend E and her son.

We wanted a photo of her flicking Tink, but the PP guy was having none of that. By that point in the trip, we were all ready to give Tink a finger. Maybe a little too much magic.

After the photo we decided we just couldn't take it anymore. E's husband had left, everything was crowded and I was miserable. So, the boys decided it was a good Blizzard Beach afternoon. The girls went their separate ways.

We went back to the Fort to change and I realized I hadn't seen Bob's dock on this trip yet, so off I went.

It was still there.

There were no BB pictures. You know, rules about swimsuit pics and Stefa and all.

After we got back and showered I snapped this pic of our setup for the week.

So, we ate and then had to decide what to do. My AP was expiring the next day and I realized I hadn't seen the MM&Y summer version. Yes, BACK to MK. Just for the show. Right.

We were cutting it a little close, of course, and got trapped behind the EWP show in front ok MK. The boat captain was new and had never been in that situation before. Somehow the CM on the boat convinced him it was ok to go right up through the middle of it. So we did.

We made it in time to see the show and Wishes! from a good spot.

So we were leaving, right?

Well, I mean, the crowds were all leaving. We might as well do something else. After all, we had an hour or two before park close and it was my last time in MK for the foreseeable future. That's NOT my normal logic, but it was that night.

So there was some Haunted Mansion……

And then, sorry Lou, IASW. Justin - Are you serious? You want to do this? Me - Well, I mean, why not? Justin - umm, ok…

After that we called it a night and headed back to the Fort. It had been a LONG day.
