GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
Today we took a pontoon boat adventure, visited Crab Island, and took a peak at a new campground friends told us about in Fort Walton. Apparently, it's been open about 3 weeks (maybe 3 months?)... I was drinking, so I don't remember which. It's on the bay, has a bridge to fhe beach, and has access to the amenities of the hotel nextdoor. Anyway, in case it interests you, I took some pictures. Here's what the sites look like, nice but no privacy. View of the bayThe pool... Apparently the hotel has a lazy river and really cool pool. mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
It does look nice! Were the sites all pullins? Or were there backins for TTs?

Live4FW 30
I guess us trailer trash aren't welcome
ImDownWithDisney 342
I would stay there before I would stay at Camping on the Gulf........if the state parks were full.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
I just hate campgrounds with rig restrictions!!! They have weekly and monthly rates too, so somebody with an old trashy MH is allowed to live there long term, but vacationers with nice TTs are NOT allowed, don't think so!! doodlebug....Cherie 461
We have one of these type resorts here. They go by the age of your rig. They do make exceptions on older ones if they are in good shape. I've stayed at the one here a couple of times and had to laugh, the Prevost's have their own section. I guess they don't want to get cooties. :rofl2:
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
We went to the outlet for a bit. Huge!!!!Yeah, for the price we could stay twice as long at Topsail. It would be cool with a boat though because you can leave it there. I swear I saw a trailer there. Maybe not?
GaDawgFan.....Kelly 799
And that's funny about the Prevost section!
ImDownWithDisney 342
I think the no TT and smaller policy is a way to keep the amount of kids to a minimum more than crappy RV's out. Most 5'ers belong to fulltimers, although that seems to be changing with the popularity of bunkhouses and super lites.
