rdancemom... Pam 113
as expected... shame they went up but at the same time it's nice to know there are some things you can still count on...death, taxes, ticket increases... yup, that'd be the big three alright. :clint:

CCIntrigue...aka Gwen 547
Thank goodness our APs are good for several more months.
Retired & Tired (Judy) 90
So glad our AP are good til March 2013......
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
better make the call Mo!Warming up the phone now....Actually, if I have this figured right, it looks like when you factor in the tax, APs are going up by about $60?Current price (with tax) $552.74New price (with tax) $611.31So if we buy the 6 day WP+ NonExp through Undercover Tourist this weekend before prices go up, and do the snazzy upgrade trick when we get there in November, it should save us about $90 per ticket (ish).Oh Ticket Guru (aka Carol)... does that sound right?
AC in A2......Aaron 693
I think the current prices are 552 adult, 509 child and both are going up to 574.....which means the 3-9 (child) passes are going up big time.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Except I don't think the $574 noted on the Disney site includes tax, so slap another 6.5% on top of that.
AC in A2......Aaron 693
I think all the prices I typed above are without tax if I remember correctly. I may need to learn the tricks of buying the no expiration hoppers and then trading up for the next time, but for now the 2013 trips are covered!
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
I think the $552 actually includes tax - that's how they have it noted on the Mousesaver's site now at least.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Oh and here's Carol's excellent step-by-step instructions for playing the ticket game...We have annual passes. The best discount you can get for Annual Passes is through Undercover Tourist.First off, go to Mousesavers.com and sign up for their monthly newsletter. You will receive the newsletter on the 15th of each month. In that newsletter is a link for special pricing through Undercover Tourist.Through that link, purchase the most expensive Magic Your Way Ticket, that is still less cost than an annual pass. When you get to Disney, use that pass in a turnstyle by entering a park.Once you do that, then go to a ticket window outside the park and tell them you want to upgrade that ticket to an annual pass. They will then do some computing, and you will only pay the difference between the GATE cost of that ticket, and the cost of the annual pass. (Usually only a few dollars). Therefore, you keep the discount you paid through Undercover Tourist. There are no other discounts on Annual Passes unless you can purchase them through the military. For example, including tax an Annual Pass is $552.74 including tax.The 6-day Park Hopper, Water Park and More, No Expiration through the special link at Undercover Tourist is $505.95 which is a $25 discount off of the normal gate price.Once you use that ticket in a park, then that ticket automatically gains the face value of $530.95, therefore you will pay an additional 21.79 towards your annual pass, making the effective price of your annual pass $527.74.If you are getting a Premium Annual Pass, you can get even more savings as the bigger the MYW ticket you buy, the bigger the savings, but the GATE price of the ticket you buy has to be less than the price of an annual pass, because they will not refund any money.More on this thread...http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/6312-annual-pass-questions/

mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
OK, just did some figuring. It looks like now you need to buy the 7-day PH, non expiring WPF&M from Mousesavers for $542.90. Once the ticket increase goes into effect, that ticket will then become worth $593.21, then use it in a turnstyle, then pay an additional $18.10 at the gate for your annual pass. So you will be paying at total of $561 for a regular annual pass. That is a savings of $50.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Thanks Carol!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
For those that may be interested in a Premium Annual Pass, then you need to get the 10-day nonexpiring hopper with water park fun & more from Mousesavers at the current price of $623.95. That ticket instantly becomes worth $715.68. You would then pay and additional $28.76 after using it in a turnstyle to make it a premium annual pass. Therefore you would only be paying $652.71. That is a savings of $91.73 for a Premium Annual Pass.We actually got a premium for Rick, cause he enjoys shopping at Disney and the 20% discount for purchases vs. 10% for a regular AP pays for the difference for us. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Just an fyi - not sure how long Undercover Tourist will hold the old pricing, but I AllEars has announced that Maple Leaf Tickets (also an authorized reseller) will be honoring the current ticket prices into next week sometime. If you order through the AllEars Special Discount Page, you get pricing comparable to UT - I think it's maybe $1-2 more because they charge for shipping. AC in A2......Aaron 693
Carol and Mo,This is a great service you both provide to people by compiling this info and showing us how to get the best bang for our bucks. Much appreciated!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
And just an FYI, the reason we don't post the direct link to the Undercover Tourist Mousesavers discount page is because Mousesavers has asked subscribers NOT to post the link on an open forum. The ONLY way you can get the special Mousesavers Undercover Tourist pricing is to subscribe to their monthly newsletter and get the link from there. The link DOES NOT change month to month, so if you no longer want the newsletter, just save the UT link to your favorites and then unsubscribe from the newsletter. BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
And the other good thing is the because of the price increase, Mousesavers sent out another email today with the link in it also.
NLPRacing 4
Thanks for posting this, we bought our tickets last night saving us money. Between this and gas prices dropping, we'll have more money in the budget for beer. :) We'll be at the fort Saturday night, can't wait!
