BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
From MousePlanet. And I'm just providing this info as a heads up for anyone in the area those days. Please take any further debate on those mentioned and politics in general to the Debate forum so Jen's head doesn't explode. :)Getting to and from the Magic Kingdom may be a bit more difficult in late June, as security will be high while the presumptive candidates for the U.S. Presidential election will both be speaking at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials leadership conference at Disney's Contemporary Resort on consecutive days. Presumptive Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney will address the NALEO 29th Annual Conference 2012 Latino Political Convention from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, while President Barack Obama will speak in the same time slot on Friday, June 22. Nearly 1,000 Latino public officials are expected to attend the convention from June 21-23.http://www.mouseplan...d_Resort_Update
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Just a reminder that this is taking place through Saturday, June 23. Traffic congestion and delays are expected, and the guest parking lots at the Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian and Polynesian will be available ONLY to those staying at the resort, or with dining, spa or recreation reservations at those resorts. CKCK 45
I will keep my "signs in spanish" comments to myself.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
A heads up that the traffic delays are higher than expected and as a result, CMs have been instructed how to deal with guests that may be late to their ADRs as a result.Restaurants that have a credit card guarantee/cancellation policy have been instructed NOT to mark no shows today (i.e., guests will not be charged the fee for missing their ADRs), and to assist guests with rebooking reservations for another date/time.Regular no show/cancellation policies will resume Saturday, June 23.
