kampfirekim 260
I've tried to find info/reviews on Mickey's Backyard BBQ but haven't had much luck. Have any of you ever tried it and if so what did you think? The Hoop De Doo may be too much for our special needs son, but I was thinking that the outdoor BBQ may work out better for him.Fire away!!! DaddysCoolTV 4
We have done it a couple of times, the last being 2 years ago. We really love it and the food was great! The show was cool with the cowboy doing rope tricks and popping the whip. They do dancing and there are some characters also. Mickey and Minnie if I remember correctly. If you like country music or at least can stand it I say it's a must do.
alyons 0
We did it twice when the kids were young. It was more laid back. The kids participate with the show. I think I enjoyed it more when the kids were young cause I didnt have to keep telling them to stay in their seats. There was alot of good food!!

Auntie 17
We did it quite a few years ago. We enjoyed it. The regular BBQ fare. Was pretty good. You sat family style at picnic tables. It's very casual, and you needn't be concerned with little ones getting out of their seats. Plenty of opportunity to dance around, as there was a country band. The characters even danced about with the diners. They had come out several times prior to that, and plenty of time was given to autographs and the like.

canadianfockerfiend Trevor 1
One of the best things about the BBQ is the beer and wine are included. I went up for beer a few times the guy was getting worried. He asked me if I thought i should slow down. All i said i am Canadian. He laughed and poured me 2. Our beer is a bit stronger. I went back up a couple more times too. The nice thing about the bbq is the characters dance with the kids. Everyone gets involved. Just make sure you let them know your needs. They seat you at picnic tables if you need a spot for a wheelchair let them know they will place you near one of the ends. Is it worth it. Oh yeah we had a blast. campingpixi 11
Loved it!! It was great food and the best thing was it was at the fort!!! Nothing better then parking your golf cart and going to get a great meal and show!!! Free Wine and beer are a plus for the adults but the unlimited mickey ice cream cannot be beat!! Lord knows we did not walk out empty handed!! LOL
vacamper 6
My kids really had fun at the bbq. Don't be discouraged when the characters first come out to dance. All the kids swarm them but after awhile things settle and the characters come around to all the tables.
Laura 17
:heart:We did the Mickeys Backyard BBQ when we went last September. When we first got there my somewhat buffet phobia DH starting giving me that "what did you get me into look" but my Sarah just LOVED it! And the food was HOT, Tasty, and a lot of it! The corn was the only thing I was unimpressed with either boiled too long or that freezer corn that was re heated. But The Beer/Wine was a hit with Dad and the unlimited Mickey bars! Had I known that at the start i would not have eaten dinner. Guess how many Mickey bars can fit in a golf cart..... hehehe We need a bigger motorhome freezer. The characters were great as my daughter and others stalked them all over. I have great pictures! We probably won't do again because $$$ & we did it already but I would defiantly recommend it once! And it was way cool to jump in the cart and loop around afterwards.Have fun!
