mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Yup, more sense for the 8-day loaded!!! Also, if you want it to be a Regular AP, DO NOT use any of the "Plus" features.

13.1ToGo 0
Another option for saving money on an AP (or any Disney ticket) is to buy gift cards at either Target or Kroger (if you have one in your area). You can buy Disney GC's with a Target debit card and save 5% (roughly $30.50 on $611). If you buy Disney GC's at Kroger at 2x fuel bucks and can use all 35 gallons on a fill up you save about 7% ($42.77 on $611). If you wait until Kroger has 4x fuel bucks it doubles to 14% (over $80 on an AP). The only problem with the Kroger fuel bucks is that you have to use them all in a 2 month period (and usually at a maximum of $1.00 off per fill up) and if you're like us and have a large family that might not be practical when buying AP's. Brent... Just Brent 83
So just FYI, the upgrade policy has changed. The amount you pay for a ticket, regardless of ifIt's been used or not, is the value of the ticket. Tried it at 3 guest relations after being used and it was worth what I paid. Brent... Just Brent 83
Indeed. Trust me, I tried every trick in the book. In the long run, I lost no money... I just didn't save any. It was an extra trip to pickup the tickets, but otherwise, done and done. New, fancy AP. On another note, if you upgrade at Guest Relations, they can also give you the new passes. You don't have to go to Odyssey to upgrade them or anything. The new tickets feel nicer, but really, they work the same way. You still wait in line and do the biometric scan. The technology seems to be about as reliable as the old tickets. Lots of people had to have them scanned instead of how it's supposed to work.

For the past several years Giant Food, Giant Eagle, and SaveMore have run a Father's Day promotion during June that can net you 20% off gift cards. Last year it even worked on Shell gas cards so not only did we save an extra 20% off our site and expenses but saved a bit on gas too! You had to buy them in $50 increments but for each seperate transaction it printed a catalina coupon for $10 off which could then be used to purchase the next one. We've been saving $$ to prepare for it... fingers crossed... If past history holds true, in three weeks we should be able to buy enough discounted GCs to pay for this summer too!
