Just Whipperwhirl 24
We dont have that many - just a few laptops (4 actually). Do you have any kind of security ideas? Our camper is a 183L Rockwood Roo - the canvas sleeping areas make it less than secure even if we change the lock. We are really making alot of modifications so I was thinking perhaps a secret panel but perhaps thats too complicated and you might have a better idea. Thanks!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Do you have an area under a bed? Perhaps a lockbox bolted to the floor under a bed, or a locking truck box bolted to the front "toy area"
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Put a lock on a drawer or cabinet. Most thieves grab stuff quickly and get back out, not gonna take the time to jimmy a lock or dig around to extensively
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
another suggestion a big eye bolt bolted through the floor, then use laptop cable locks through the laptops and eybolt.
Just Whipperwhirl 24
The eye bolt idea is kind of what we are leaning towards.
4Brians.....Todd 103
We have storage under the bed in the master bedroom of our 5er. A large hinged area, accessed by lifting the foot of the bed. I added a hasp and padlock to create some secure storage. What do I keep in there? I'm not telling... rdancemom... Pam 113
What do I keep in there? I'm not telling...no need to tell us, we have very good imaginations. In fact mine has been running positively wild after reading this. And that's not the worst of it. Suddenly I hear Tolkien's Gollum mumbling "what does it have in its pocketzes, my precious..." :rofl2:
Retired & Tired (Judy) 90
I was thinking of the area under the bed also. Easy to get into (for you) and then have a lock on it. As mentioned earlier, people stealing want things they can grab and run with. Sad we have to lock up valuables in a place like Disney, isn't it?
Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
Hidden Fire Proof Safe for your documents.
Just Whipperwhirl 24
We dont have any space under our beds since its a hybrid. I really dont want to lug around a safe. I think Im just going to make sure we are heavily insured.
Nicki aka Rebelstand 272
We have a small fireproof document safe.In it we have important docs like passports, insurance policy, wills, etc.
ftwildernessguy 778
We have a small auto safe bolted down in an area I won't disclose. Not big enough for laptops, but does the trick for park tickets, cash, small valuables, etc.
