I was not taught either. On a whim I bought a precut quilt and a book and just winged the rest.

sometimes it still feels like that first quilt. actually worse since I know I should know how to do it and sometimes I just can't! :rofl2:

Once quilted, I will have done four of them total. My second quilt was done in that pattern and DH loved it. It is one of his favorite patterns. I am thinking that one of them will probably be given away but that remains to be seen.
