Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Great photos! This one is interesting:When did the Gators play the Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl?Ever? And what Bulldogs are we talking about here George or Miss St?Whoever built Legoland must have been a Gator fan. But it's not too smart to include something like this in a theme park. It's likely to make as many people mad as it might make happy.TCD

momof3kids-Yvonne 596
I keep looking at these and saying, "Oh my goodness!" I think I may have found a way to get DH and DS back to Florida for a visit.

This is the same exact requirements to get an annual pass at Sea World for educators as well.

AuburnJen 777
Those really cool looking legos. Is it worth the detour from WDW?I would say yes if you have kids. If you have older kids (mid teens and up) I would say no.
kampfirekim 260
Legos!! Why did it have to be legos!? :rofl2:Lil H would be in hog heaven!!! ;D
AuburnJen 777
Ok, more than a week later, I am getting off my butt and finishing this...lolmore pics from MINILANDHollywood BowlMore Hollywood CAThis is the Vietnam Memorial. It is actually in the correct place in the mall in scale to the Lincoln and Washington Memorials. This was Panama City BeachNot Panama City BeachBok TowersThis was outside the adventure ride, which is like the Buzzlightyear ride at DisneyOne of the coolest things they do at Legoland is that they have a play area in EVERY CUE line. So the kids go and play legos and the adults can wait in line and pick up the kids right before they go in the ride.

AuburnJen 777
We then went to the boating school.
AuburnJen 777
We were then off to flying school. We made a few stops first. After riding the flying school (it is a roller coaster) Chris's bottle of Visine popped in his shorts. Some things we will ride next time.Just in case you needed to know what things cost in the park. This is taken from the old Cypress Gardens Ski Show. They still have a ski show here, but it is with pirates and lego people now. Here is the pirate ship from one of the pavilions.Child has to have his ice cream. These little guys were in the Cypress Gardens section with the waterfall. Cute! AuburnJen 777
We headed back through MINILAND on our way out because they closed at six and we needed some food too.some more Vegas picsThe light was better the second time around for Daytona. This gal was neat looking at MINILANDThis was outside the pizza buffet and he talked to you tooChris missed this on the way inWe stopped and had those apple fries you saw earlier. OMG they are wonderful.Want to know what rentals are? Here you go.without the people in the waySome more odds and endson our way outWe got a wonderful suggestion on state road 60 to go to and headed out and heard the cries of ospreys in the parking lot...
AuburnJen 777
They had built four platforms on top of the light poles for the ospreys to nest. There were four mating pairs just hollering as loud as they could and fishing from the lake. I am surprised they weren't sharing the fish bones with the people going back to their cars, as the pair of ospreys at my softball field shared their bones with my girls when I was coaching. The girls screamed a lot when they threw the bones at them. :rofl2:We then headed on down the road a piece (as they say in Alabama) and ended up at Norby's, a literal hole in the wall on state road 60, but I am sure glad we went. OMG the food was awesome.Because we mentioned that we were told to come here from Legoland, we were given two free shrimp cocktails. Now folks, this was the KIDS MEAL. Can you believe this? It also included ice cream and a coloring book, a really big one, that he got to take home. ()you see in the back where the jello is too?)Chris had a 12 porterhouse steakAnd I had a 9oz marinated steakEveryone had a smile when they left. ( because they didn't have to drive)And we headed home with the full moon in the East.
AuburnJen 777
We stopped in Yeehaw Junction to use the facilities and also to take pictures of the full moon. We then headed home and put the truck to bed.

Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Chris took that picture for you TCD. He was hoping you would notice.Well, tell Chris I did notice, and thanks! Some people (including Mrs. TCD and my oldest DD) say Gator fans are obnoxious, and stuff like this supports that view.Great job on this report, Jen.I have not been to Cypress Gardens since it was Cypress Gardens. Nobody in my family is interested in legos anymore, so I'm not sure I will make it to Legoland any time soon. Those displays are pretty cool, though. The only criticism I have of this report is that it could use a few more Osprey nest and full moon photos.here's one I made at work with my participants... they came up with the concept and build everything.. this is the first one we made i have a few others on my work computer that have more legos involvedhttp://vimeo.com/31600403they are fun to make but tediousHey, that's cool!So how long does it take to make a video of that length?TCD

DoctorDalek 7
Hey, that's cool!So how long does it take to make a video of that length?TCDthanks! they are lots of fun to make...that took about a month... close to 300 photosi think legolands version of an interactive cue is so much cooler! just piles and piles of legos to play with no muss no fuss no expensive maintenance fees just lots of bleach to keep them clean and voila interactive cue... MicknMin...Holly 54
I loved playing with Legos when the girls were little. I think I bought them more for me than for them.
