This life is just a test .... Now pass me a beer.

Great job on the updates, Leslie!

I understand about life getting in the way of updating your TR.

So take your time, no worries.

My comments on your updates:

- Love the fake photopass poses! That is hilarious!

-Thank goodness that tooth has finally come out. I was afraid we would be looking at photos of fingers in that mouth for the rest of this report.

-Cosmic Ray proved that his new name is deserved by taking the golf cart keys with him and getting lost on the monorail on the way back.

-Jody should have turned down that ten bucks and slept in the hammock. Although to be honest, I haven't let any of my DD's sleep out in a hammock for the night either. I hope they don't find out about this bribing.

Looking forward to the rest of your report when you get time to update!

Even though we went back to WDW in May 2011, I’ve really been planning this trip since our last trip to the Fort in March 2010. That report is back over on voldemort, but in a nutshell it was my dad

Here’s a video bonus – this was taken around dinnertime Sunday while Ray and I were at dinner. This is the kind of fun that I love about going to WDW. I call it the “Cousin Song”: http://youtu.be/Hl

Maybe I should read this TR.

Designing Women....4 Southern ladies with sarcastic senses of humor, obsessing about men and cocktails. Am I the only one picturing the WWW gals?

Well, there were some "misplaced southerners" among us.... aka yankees ;D I can't remember if anyone obsessed about men unless you count that one weird time when... Oh nevermind!!! MPR!!! :rofl2:

well, sarcastic sense of humor and obsessing about cocktails, yes......

obsessing about men....... I think most of us are waaaaay beyond that :)

Was there sarcastic humor?! What!? And there were cocktails there!? How did ya'll keep this such a secret? ;D

Hey guys - Thanks for hanging in there with my tough week. I'm going to get an update up in just a minute, but then it will probably be a while before I can get another one up. Sadly we have the first of two family funerals tomorrow, with the second on Friday. :( My 52 year old aunt and my 94 year old step-grandfather. One didn't get to live nearly long enough, and both will be missed terribly.

So, there's my sad story this week. But, it's good to be among fiends, and it is a nice break to get to work on this report when I get a chance to take a break from all the family stuff.

More in a sec. Thanks for reading!

Tuesday, March 20

Of course, I was up early again, but that’s my MO at home, so I don’t mind. Waking up at any time at FW is better than sleeping in at home. We had the usual pandemonium of breakfast at cabin and simultaneous pandemonium of breakfast for those that slept at the camper. The fun part of this morning was the discovery that Tinker Bell had helped the Tooth Fairy overnight, and brought Ryan a dollar for his first lost tooth!

If anyone is paying attention (which TCD clearly is not), you’ll notice that it is Ryan, not Evan (the tooth wiggler in the pictures) who lost the tooth.

We all met at the Outpost at 7:45 and once again, had lots of fun just waiting on a bus.

Even though Brad looks pretty reclusive in this picture, and even though he generally kept his personalized shirt covered up the whole time, he was an awfully good sport this trip. I even gave him a choice on the shirt and he opted to wear it, so I was happy even though we never saw it!

Fun on the bus:

We arrived at Animal Kingdom around 8:20. There were tons of people lined up, but we saw lots of the ticket things still covered up toward the left of the crowd. So, we hung out in line where it wrapped around from the uncovered to the covered ones, and then low and behold, they uncovered them. We jumped easily to the front of one of the turnstiles. :parrot:

We barely had time to sunscreen up before they let us in to the internal rope. I ran to EE for FPs while the group did Dinosaur, then at Daniel’s suggestion, they rode again so I could get a ride. Elise was so cute on this ride. She was very nervous and kept her eyes closed the whole time. Afterward, she declared that she kept her eyes closed all the time so Danielle wouldn’t be embarrassed to close hers. :heartsmiley: So cute.

After Dinosaur, we split up into the spinners and non-spinners. Triceratops Spin for the little ones and Primevial Whirl (2 times!) for the bigger ones. Finally we headed off to EE for everyone’s favorite ride (or at least the favorite ride for a bunch of us!).

Good grief!

I am going to fail the final exam for sure.

I swear there are more kids in the group every time you post a photo!

I am not happy to hear that Evan has not lost his tooth.

We all know what that means . . .

More photos of Evan with his fingers crammed in his mouth!

As for your update, I love the t-shirts! Great job on those, and props to the teens for going along with the plan.

I'm sorry to hear about the losses you recently suffered in real life.

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments. It has indeed been a rough week. We buried my aunt yesterday and then heaven forbid, her 22-year-old daughter (my cousin) got robbed at gunpoint last night. She wound up on my doorstep at 1:00 crying and still shaking as she didn't know where else to go. Thank God she was okay, but what a terrible day for her! She is better today and things are hopefully moving in the right direction for her now. She will be moving in with us until she finishes with her exams, which will be good to get to keep a closer eye on her.

We have Buddy's father's funeral tomorrow. It occurred to me that I didn't tell you it was her dad that died on Tuesday. But, as I said earlier, he lived a long, wonderful life and we are all so proud of him and blessed for having been a part of his family.

Despite a complete lack of sleep last night, I'm actually feeling better than I was a couple of days ago. Thanks again for everyone's sweet thoughts and prayers. They definitely have helped!

I am hoping to have another update up tonight - it will all depend on how technology cooperates with me, as I definitely have no patience for doing the details it takes sometimes. If not tonight, then I will definitely get one up by the weekend.

Leslie

PS to Carol - I'm guessing you're talking about the cap that Brad (17 year old) is wearing. His dad Michael was on a sub in Hawaii many years ago. Brad is thinking of entering the armed forces upon graduation this year and I'm very proud of him for that!

After EE, we were ready to cool down on Kali River Rapids. Get ready for far more pictures than you want to see on this one:

Believe it or not, that’s just a handful of the pictures from KRR that day. Sometimes I think I need to get a real life. ::)

Next, we headed toward Safari to grab FPs and lunch, but first we had to have fun with the coolest water attraction at WDW.

Buddy and Paw Paw left around now to head back to the trailer to check on the dog and get dinner going. The rest of us rode Safari, looking of course for rhinos the whole time.

Found one!

After Safari, everyone left except Marie’s family plus Danielle, who all stayed to see the Lion King. Cute Stephen fell asleep during Safari, slept through the Lion King, the bus ride back to FW, the golf cart ride back to the cabin and then for about an hour more. WDW can definitely wear a kid (and his parents!) out.

Glad to hear life is sorting itself out! My first husband was on submarines in Charleston, and also in Hawaii, then changed to an instructor (I think). So they probably crossed paths.

Every time I see a picture on this report I think oh it can't get any better than this. But then you post another one and I see all those smiling faces and sure enough it can. Those little ones are so darn cute they almost have me wishing I had another one. Almost.

X2 minus almost wishing for another one. Not even close. ;D

Love the Kali River Rapids photos!!! Our boys love that one and require us to ride it at least 3 times when we are at AK.

Glad you're starting to feel better. Those tough times really take the energy out of you.
