Avengers wrapped monorail rumored for Walt Disney WorldMar 242012 Filed under: Disney, Magic Kingdom, Movies, Walt Disney World Posted by: Anthony ArmeniaWhile The Avengers movie doesn’t debut in theaters until May 4, 2012, guests may finally be able to experience Marvel at the Walt Disney World Resort. We’ve heard strong rumors that Monorail Red will be getting a makeover with an Avengers wrap in April to run on the Magic Kingdom loop.Above is our concept rendering of a possible Avengers wrapped monorail. Monorail Red has been spotted backstage with its cab painted black for the supposed Avengers makeover. This would be the second time a monorail has had a wrap installed to promote a film, the last one being for Tron: Legacy last March. While the “Tron-o-rail” took guests between Epcot and the Ticket and Transportation Center, rumors say the “Aveng-o-rail” or “Herorail” will take guests between Magic Kingdom and the Ticket and Transportation center, possibly due to restrictions with Universal Orlando Resort. Marvel is owned by Disney, but Universal has exclusive rights to use certain characters in East Coast theme parks. The Epcot monorail makes a loop inside Epcot. Here’s a video of the Tron: Legacy themed monorail, dubbed the Tron-o-rail, in action. Stay tuned to Orlando Attractions Magazine for more information on the Aveng-o-rail.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Jt7W5n7hshttp://attractionsma...world-in-april/

DoctorDalek 7
I've been squee-ing for days over this... Not only do I love most of the avengers (I kinda find Nick Fury annoying) but I practically worship the director of this movie and the fact that they are coming out with a lego line for it but now the aveng-o-rail im pretty pumped.... I think it would be cool if they wrapped a few of the busses for promotions like this... especially if they made special costumes for the bus drivers ... I think Lou would love that... can't let the monorail guys have all the fun

I think Lou would love that... can't let the monorail guys have all the funGreat idea Doc, but that won't happen. Buses aren't cool looking. Also, the Monocraft pilots don't have that much fun. Pilots, yup, that's what the lever pushers are called, don't have much interaction with guests.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Aw come on, buses COULD be cool looking! They do some really snazzy things these days with that giant shrink-wrap type stuff. They could totally do that with the WDW buses. The real question is, would Lou be Iron Man or Captain America? Lou... 3,118
Lets not forget that it's just a moving, slow at that or more likely broken down, billboard. It's an ad for a dumb movie.

Lou... 3,118
That's what we need at WDW. Disney buses copying the Lynx buses wrapped with ads for laxitives, Viagra, and sleazy ambulance chasing lawyers.
