Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Todd- That last photo threw me for a loop. After looking at it, I figured out it must be the beach at the Contemporary Resort. You can see Discovery Island out there in Bay Lake. If this had been taken from the Fort beach, we would see the Contemporary Resort in the background of the photo.TCD

AC in A2......Aaron 693
Ok....now I need a drink! Everytime I see what once was and compare it to what it has become.......da*n't. And now they want to put a DVC there too? Double da*n't!!
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Very nice pics!!! I'm still not convinced that is the same boat rotting away though. I visited Discovery Island in 98 and I do remember the boat, but it was not NEAR big enough to walk on like in the picture.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
H-Great job on those photos! But I agree, they make me sad.And I say it's the same boat. The island has either eroded some, or the water level has changed, or the vegetation has grown up around it to make it look different. But, Disney is too cheap to have paid for two boats.TCD
H in SC 85
Great pics DC. TCD, IMHO it seems to me Disney does Projects/Events/Things originally in a "Walter E. Disney" influenced way, :)then over time they erode to more of a "Michael D. Eisner" influenced way.
