we3peas 12
Can anyone tell me what times the Castle light shows are and what time the Osbourne lights turn on? I've looked at various sites and cannot come up with this answer. We will be there in Jan (5th-8th) and want to see both if they are still there.TIA
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
The Osborne Lights go through January 7th, The Castle Lights go through January 3rd. The Osborne Lights are turned on about dusk.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Castle light show is usually 6:15-ish, Osborne about the same.
we3peas 12
Thanks for the replies. I swear I thought I'd read on here (maybe not?) that the castle lights will stay up until the 8th.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Times Guides for this week for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on the way - give me a few minutes.I'll get Times Guides pages up for all 4 parks asap. We should have them for next week too.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Here you go. "Cinderella's Holiday Wish" is the nightly castle lighting ceremony.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Pretty much everybody shows Osborne running through Jan 7th but...AllEars shows Castle Dreamlights through Jan 3rd.WDWMagic shows Castle Dreamlights through Jan 8thIntercot shows Castle Dreamlights through Jan 4thMousesavers shows Castle Dreamlights through Jan 3rd. Oh Lou..... could you see what "the official word" is on this?Pretty please?
we3peas 12
I would love to see the castle lights but we aren't buying our passes until the 5th so I guess we might miss them this year....
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Maybe not... let's see what The Busman turns up for info.
we3peas 12
Has the Busman come back to work yet?
Lou... 3,118
Has the Busman come back to work yet?Just saw this.Cinderella’s Holiday Wish will perform for the last time on Dec. 31, but I can't find anything official about the "Castle Dream Lights" after that. If all those other sites are showing them on after the 1st, there is probably something to it.I'll keep an eye out for anything official.
we3peas 12
Thanks Lou, hopefully we will have a chance to see them in 2012.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
A couple of years ago it was an extremely cold New Year's week and they actually ended up leaving them up almost to mid-Jan.
we3peas 12
Well then bring on the cold! It's been too humid lately anyway!
we3peas 12
I saw something, I think on Allears.net that said the Castle Dreamlights would stay up until the 7th. Does that mean they are on the castle but not "on" for a show?
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
It may mean that they will just come on as dusk approaches just like the regular castle lighting, instead of starting with a "show"I think I also read on Mouseplanet that they would be up until the 7th
we3peas 12
This is from the Orlando Sentinel today. It doesn't say its source. At Disney World, the final Candlelight Processional is tonight with guest narrator Marlee Matlin. Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom stops promenading on Tuesday. Disney's Hollywood Studios pulls the plug on the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights on Jan. 7, and the Castle Dream Lights go out at Magic Kingdom on Jan. 8. Lou... 3,118
Officially as reported by Disney, the Christmas activities will end at AK on the 2nd, at Epcot tonight, at the Studios on the 7th, and Cinderella’s Holiday Wish show at MK will perform for the last time tomorrow night, but still nothing official regarding the Dream Lights.I believe the reports about them staying on until the 7th are correct.I'm guessing that the reason they will be on until the 7th is because of the logistics involved in taking down all of the Christmas lighting property wide and the fact that the Osborne lights are also ending on the 7th.
