parrothead7368 aka Norm 101
Ok, let's get this thing going again.Today is Monday and we are headed for the Magic Kingdom for rope drop. I jumped on my mom's ECV and started the ride to the marina. I know I could have taken the bus, but for such a short ride and the hassle to strap it in, it is just easier to ride it down, plus it's actually kind of nice, just cruising along checking out the other campers on the edge of the loops.Anne was very happy though, because she could drive the cart and the girls couldn't wait.I put the pink and purple bandanas on everything that we had that had wheels, much easier to find our stuff in a crowd. The boat ride was nice, and the weather our first full day was great.Anne was taking a picture of the birds nesting in the trees.Cadence can't wait, and as you can see, she knows which way is the fun. There's nothing like Disney at Christmas or really anytime for that matter. Our first character meeting happened almost right away, and I was glad it was who it was. I couldn't get the dinner at 1900 Park Fair, so I was even excited to see these three ladies and so was Cadence.Claire on the other hand wasn't getting out of the safety of her stroller, but Drizella came over to see her and sign her autograph book.We decided to do the Dumbo ride so we could see how Fantasyland was coming along. After It's a Small World and a few other rides, it was time for lunch at the Crystal Palace, but while waiting, we ran into this guy. Also, there was show going on at the castle.I checked in, but we only waited 10 minutes and it was time for Pooh and Friends.Claire once again was a little scared, but she was a little tired and fell asleep, but that didn't stop Pooh. He gave her a little kiss and when she woke up and saw the picture, we told her Pooh thought she was hunny.Went on Aladdin's Carpet Ride and of course Pirates of the Caribbean, which the girls thought was scary and than Cadence and I had fastpasses for the Runaway train, so we headed over there.. While we were riding, Claire needed a 'nack, so......Luckily she couldn't finish it and Daddy got the last bite.We than headed for Splash Mountain, but it was closed for a quick repair so we headed for the restrooms and we found........Woody and JessieNow that smile on my face isn't because I'm getting a picture taken, it's because I think being able to bring the girls to Disney and getting to see their faces and expressions when they meet their favorite characters is probably the 4th happiest day of my life. 1st of course was my wedding, 2nd was Cadence's birth and 3rd was Claire's birth. OK, I'm being sappy, but I had to get that in there.Well, we went to see the Country Bear Jamboree....and after that was over we decided to get dinner. My wife and Mom had been asking alllllllll day about the turkey legs and it is a QS, so......who am I to say no.Being the only male with 4 females, is going to start wearing thin after a while.but after dinner, the electric parade and fireworks, it was time to head back to the Fort to get ready for tomorrow and Animal Kingdom, but first I need to stop for a snack.Mmmmmmm....Dole Whips. My wife had never heard of them, but after she tried one, she was hooked. We also decided they would taste good with a little vodka.Well, I'll add more on Saturday and thanks for all the compliments so far. I don't know how TCD does it, but this is tiring work. LOLBest Regards,Norm

One of us rides the scooter, and the other takes the golf cart to whichever bus depot necessary. It is really silly to strap that thing on a bus for such a short trip. Just makes it easier for everyone!!!

parrothead7368 aka Norm 101
What a great Trip Report!! Your pictures are wonderful, May I ask what the camera is your using??Thanks, it's a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2 6 MP Digital Camera. My wife got it for me back in 2006 for our first anniversary. I always say we should read the book that came with it and we might take some decent pictures. It's funny you should mention the pictures, because we were going through our photopass pictures the other night and I commented that I thought our pictures were better than the ones they took. And now I'm feeling sappy! After seeing this picture I immediately thought of the video and how excited Cadence was to be able to see Woody & Jessie. Enjoy every second of this trip!!I agree, Dole Whip with vodka sounds good to me! ^-^She was more than excited when we ran into them, I had to hold her back and she almost ran out of her shoes. She was so excited and she wouldn't stop yodeling the whole time we were in line. Of course when she finally got to meet Jessie, she forgot to yodel for her. LOL She is a trip.Best Regards,Norm
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Norm- Believe it or not, I know exactly how you felt when it struck you how much fun your girls were having there with Woody and Jessie. That magic feeling is what brings us back to WDW again and again. A lot of people don't get it, but I think all of us here do!You are doing a great job on your report.Take your time, and continue to do what you are doing. You will really have a very nice report when you are done.TCD
parrothead7368 aka Norm 101
Ok, Day 2 and we are off to Animal Kingdom, but first a short story.I decided, since we were turning the heat down to 45 at home while we were gone we had better take our hermit crab on the trip with us. Since the weather was so nice in Florida, I decide to put its cage outside evrey morning when we left to guard the place. Well, in the two years that we have had it, it rarely moves, but lo and behold this things went nuts every morning I put it outside. It either loved the weather or it enjoys vacation like the rest of us.Every night we would bring it in and we wouldn't hear from it, but every morning I would put the cage outside and off it went climbing it's cage.So back to the report and we arrived at Animal Kingdom. Our first thing scheduled is breakfast at the Tusker House with Donald and Friends. This was a great breakfast, and probably our favorite out of all of them that we did. The food was fantastic and all I did was keep eating. Also, the characters were a lot of fun and the set up was nice.First it was a picture with Donald and than off to breakfast. Daisey was the first to come around....Than it was Goofy's turn.Than the mouse himself showed up and the girls were ecstatic.Than they had a parade, and somehow Claire was the leader. After coffee and the great juice they serve, it was off to the Safari ride and to meet our friend Susan and her son Zeke who lives in Orlando and fills in at the HDDR on occasion. After we met up, we headed over to Camp Mickey & Minnie to see what characters were around. Cadence got her hat signed by Donald.Than we ran into Chip & Dale who were a lot of fun. They didn't like the Donald Duck hat though.Than we got in line for Minnie which is Claire's favorite character. Also in the area was Miss Bunny and Thumper.and Brer Bear and Brer Fox. Claire wasn't to keen on Brer Fox, so Anne had to help her out.Than it was off to Dino Land for some rides and to dig in the Boneyard. As they were riding and digging I ran over to Expedition Everest to get a couple of Fastpasses, so after we were done here, it was off to see Yeti.Anne chickened out, so I got to do it twice which suited me fine.We watched the parade, and it was time to head back because we had dinner at Chef Mickey's scheduled for 7:15.Overall impression, was the food was so-so, but the girls loved it.After dinner it was off for a ride on the monorail. I'll finish up our night tomorrow.Best Regards,Norm

parrothead7368 aka Norm 101
So let me finish the 2nd day, so I can get outside and get to all those leaves that are in the yard. When I left you last night we were jumping on the monorail for the girls first ride, of course they were adding a train to the rail, so we had to wait. Now Claire has the same sense of humor as me, and Mommy wanted to take pictures of us. Good luck with that.Granny and Cadence were a little more cooperative. No fun. Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor, mantengase alejados de las puertas........and off we went.We ended up going to the Polynesian to get a birthday present for my sister-in-law who likes anything islandy and we got a picture there.Than we headed back to the Contemporary to catch our boat back to The Fort for our next day of chaos, but before we loaded up, I had to get a couple of pictures outside.Have you ever noticed, everyone gets pictures here at night? I don't think I seen any taken during the day. There's my challenge for the next trip. LOLWell, that's it for Day 2, and there still haven't been any meltdowns by the girls or us. My original plan was to have a little rest on Day 3, yea right, that happened. See ya in the next segment. Now where's my rake?Best Regards,Norm
