BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
And I'm back with time to spare! :parrot:So as I mentioned, I really don't recall why we went back to the Fort from the Poly and then to MK later on. I asked Brian if he remembered and I got a look like this...The more I think about it, I think we really did go back for the dogs. MK was open until 1am that night and it would have been a long stretch for them right on the heels of being cooped up in the car for 2 days.Anywho...Off to MK we headed!A view from the boat on the way in..One thing we encountered a lot this trip was "boat traffic" in front of MK. I don't ever recall getting held up as much to wait for the Ferry or another boat docking/leaving as we did on this trip. But before terribly long, we were through the turnstiles!I mentioned I had a new camera for this trip. After seeing all the amazing photos that Karla posts, I finally ended up buying the same camera - Nikon S8100. This was the first time I had a chance to really use it and it took me a while to sort out the settings so the pictures should actually get better as we go along. We timed our arrival pretty much perfectly as we got there just in time for Wishes! Here's my first lame attempt at fireworks photos with the new camera...And can I just say I love Wishes! A lot.I think I saw it 6 or 7 times this trip - maybe more. And I loved it every single time. :heartsmiley:So we've now had sushi and are at the Magic Kingdom - there is only one more thing that would make our first day/night at WDW perfect...DOLE WHIP PINEAPPLE FLOAT #1Get used to this photo. You're going to see a lot of them before this thing is over and done. :rofl2:Next up we did something that we haven't actually done in a few years - rode the Jungle Cruise.Holy Corn-a-rama! I'd forgotten how bad the jokes were but it is a classic. And I think it's actually a better attraction at night. We eventually worked our way around to the Haunted Mansion. This was the first time we've seen the new queue and I gotta say I really like it. It doesn't "do" a whole lot, but they put a lot of detail in it and it's just fun to poke around and discover the stories they've added to the attraction. I can definitely see how on a busy day, this would keep you distracted from the fact that you're in line for a long time. One of the coolest things that came out of this update to HM is that they actually expanded the cemetery areas...I'll have more photos of this from the MNSSHP we went to, when this attraction gets even better! In the meantime, playing-with-the-camera-settings-cool-accidental-photo...A few more shots from the evening...The cool thing about this trip was that we got to see the "regular" castle the first week and a half, and then also the holiday "dreamlights".More messing with the camera settings photos - one thing about this camera is that it's amazing with low light...In this photo you'll see that even at 11:30, the park was still pretty busy...I love the parks at night...We did a little more poking around, riding all our favorites - including getting a chiropractic adjustment on Space Mountain - soaked up some atmosphere and then said goodnight to the Magic Kingdom. For now...

Gots2pitt.. Jeff 64
What I like about the EWP is that it is about the same as it always has been. My parents remember taking me when I was a kid (probably 25+ years ago) and it really hasn't changed much. Of course having said that someone will probably post pictures if I am wrong.
