Sensei 18
VERY WELL DONE and Steak should never be used together! At some point in the cooking process, Steak converts to Shoe Leather. That point depends upon how close to Well Done you approach as well as the tenderness of the meat prior to cooking. :rofl2:If you carry it too far, of course, you have charcoal ... :rofl2: :rofl2:Believe me, I agree!! A good medium rare is what I like, but you can't "learn" some folks :-)Steak is probably the most abused food we have. It is also disgusting to see someone put ketchup on a good steak. Heresy I say. Amen. You are a regular TSM wild woman! You and lil H should to to the Studios together. He'd ride it with you as many times as you like. :D (We all like it too.)Great photos!! I especially enjoyed the ones from Impressions. We don't usually even make it all the way around World Showcase (due to the kiddos) let alone go inside very many of them. Mexico, Norway and sometimes American Adventure is all we manage usually. Lovin' this report!!!!!!

Lovin' this report!!!!!! :heart:Thanks Kim!! We go to Impressions quite often, mainly cause we're usually doing what we did, coming into World Showcase from the walkway from Studios. It's a good first stop for us!!We were TOTALLY blown away by the no crowds thing at Studios, I mean, this was Friday after a holiday. I'd think the place would be crowded from folks taking advantage of the holiday week. And 15 minute waits on TSM for most of the day?? UNHEARD OF!!!!!!I'll try and get another update tomorrow. I've got an early morning, but then get several hours off. (I've also got to do laundry, so maybe I can update while the washer and dryer are going)

mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Well, it’s high time I added an update on this trip report. Work’s been kinda nuts, and I’ve been too tired to think about it much.Saturday, September 10th, 2011Today started with Rick sleeping in, and I joined my friends at the bus stop early to get to Magic Kingdom for opening! Here are a few pics on my walk to the bus stop.Waiting on the opening of Magic KingdomI “think” the first thing we did was go to Space Mountain, but I really don’t remember. But I do remember riding and purchasing ride photo online link. (Which I haven’t downloaded yet). Then we wandered towards Haunted Mansion. Our walk through Fantasyland. And that's close to my photo limit, continuing in a minute!!! mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
The Haunted Mansion interactive lineWhen we got out of Haunted Mansion, Rick was there waiting on us!! We hadn’t seen the new Tiki Birds yet, so off we went!!We liked the new/old show!!!Coming next, one of our favorite breakfast places!!!!
PureTcrazy...rita 380
The French Quarter is themed well. We've never stayed there, but we have talked about it. We may try it if we ever take a trip that is not camping.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Continuing on…It’s time for Breakfast!!!We had reservations at 1900 Park Faire!! We hopped on the monorail for the Grand Floridian and worked our way down to the restaurant. We were hungry!! We were seated and headed for the buffet when we were accosted by all the characters all at once!!! (I think it was their last round and didn’t want to miss us). The Mad Hatter was hilarious, he literally chased after Dave and Rick and drug them back to the table for pics!!!So here are all the character pics. After all that silliness we finally got to go eat, here is a pic of a partly devoured breakfast.A few more pics around the restaurant.Instead of paying for their picture, we got one of our ownWe head outside to grab the scooters and got these picsNow that are bellys were full, it was time to visit the Animals!! Would we get good pics today, or more elephant butts???The answer coming soon!!
PureTcrazy...rita 380
Love the pics from 1900 park faire. We took my granddaughter here, but it was so busy (free dining) that we didn't really get to relax and enjoy the restaurant. How was the breakfast?

mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Let the Celebration Begin!!After FOTL, everybody else went to Tough to Be a Bug, and I took a little break and people watched. Then we headed on out.David and Buff had their own plans for the evening, and we went to the Fort!!!We had a blast having a wonderful dinner at Lorna’s with lots of Fiends!!!We are the worst though, once again, were having sooo much fun, didn’t take a SINGLE picture.Rich and Matt were kind enough to take us back to POFQ, and then we packed up some stuff and loaded the truck and nighty night!!!The next morning, we had breakfast at the Food Court and Rick started driving home. I had the morning to myself while waiting on my flight back to Sterling, VA for work. What will I do???Coming next my last morning in the “World”.

doodlebug....Cherie 461
From my limited experience I can tell you taking pictures gets put on the back burner. You drink, you talk and you laugh. It was the best night of fiendship evah :partythree:
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
All right, I have time to continue. After Rick got on the road, I headed to the bus stop, still not sure what I was going to do.Then I remembered Whipperwill needed Legos. So off to DTD I went!!Some pictures around DTD.After conversing with Fiends on my phone, I finally decided what Legos I needed to get. Then wandered over to T-Rex for lunch. While waiting on lunch to arrive, I actually logged on to my work email. (Not easy on my phone) to check email. As you may recall earlier in my report, my project was due on September 20th. Well, the due date was extended to October 6th!!! GRRRRRRRRRR. I still needed to go back up to Sterling, but would be leaving on the 15th of September, then home for a week, then back up there till October 6th. This may put our Halloween trip in jeopardy, cause Rick does have to have rotator cuff surgery ASAP, and now the earliest it could possible scheduled is October 7th. As of today, still hasn’t got it scheduled, but the doc had told him earlier that he didn’t want to wait till after the Halloween trip. So we STILL don’t know where that stand.Anywho, after lunch, I wandered what was left of Pleasure Island, and found some VERY depressing sights. The Mannequins sign is gone. This is some of the “new and better” stuff (said with a great deal of sarcasm)This is the saddest site of all. After that depressing site, I tried to see if there was ANYTHING left of Pleasure Island, and this is all I could find. The “original” story of Pleasure Island, but even this sign was hidden behind a tree. Also each building used to have sign explaining it’s original use when Merriweather Pleasure owned the island.Well, time to head back to the resort to catch my Magical Express. The final photos coming next.
PureTcrazy...rita 380
Thanks for posting the pics from DTD, we don't see a lot from there. How was T-rex? Would you recommend?

Would you recommend?Yeah, I've enjoyed eating there the couple times I have been. I enjoy it because we've got the Rainforest Card, so can get immediate seating there and Rainforest, even if it's really crowded.
