DCMommy 0
Thank you so much for posting this trip report. I usually just lurk (ok, this is my first post ever!) because I enjoy reading about everyone else's adventures while I'm waiting for our next trip to Disney. My husband has been dying to go on a cruise for years and I have really not been interested, but that ship looks amazing. I may just have to reconsider.......

momof3kids-Yvonne 596
On a DISNEY cruise you can bring your own booze/beer aboard (rooms have a small fridge) and they supply endless coke, sprite etc. If you run out of booze you can get some in port I imagine, but it's only a 4 day cruise so plan ahead. Disney does sell a cruise pack of rum, 5 small bottles but I don't know whether you can take that to your room right away or notIf you are on most other cruise lines you cannot bring booze on board, you have to buy theirs and coke etc costs as well. On both if you buy bottles from the duty free store you don't get it delivered to your room until your last night at sea. Both also have a corkage fee if you bring your own wine to the tableThat alone would be a good selling point to DH!

mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
OKEY DOKEY, When we last left, we were heading for the ship for lunch. Here are a few shots from our table at CabanasAfter lunch, we headed back out and found a taxi driver that would provide us roundtrip transportation to Atlantis for a reasonable fee, and he had credentials hanging around his neck so we agreed. We also got his card for future reference, because he had accessible taxis!! Rick could have brought his scooter and can in the future!!!We got to Atlantis and went in the Casino and donated more to the Bahamian economy than I care to admit. That's all I have to say about that. When we left the casino, our taxi driver was waiting for us.We got back to the ship and took a few pictures as we boardedWe went back to the cabin to get ready for dinner and got these amazing shots!!Coming Next, and "Animated" Dinner

DaveInTN 3,247
Cool pics, Carol. I was wondering, when you are off the ship do they keep track of who has disembarked, and who has returned? I wonder how many time passengers don't make it back to the ship and get stranded somewhere.
Keylime359 2
I want to back up just a minute. I finally got home and scanned and uploaded the pictures we bought at Shutters. Here is one before dinner our first night:You look beautiful Carole!

I would imagine at Castaway Cay, they sweep the island similar to the parks and encourage everyone to LEAVE!!

I wonder how many time passengers don't make it back to the ship and get stranded somewhere. On our last cruise we actually did have people get left behind in Nassau. We watched them drunkenly try to make it back to the ship. It was hilarious, the crew was yelling to them to run but they could barely walk :rofl2: I never did here what happened to them

We4mickey 6
Funny you should talk about this. The day we were at Nassau George and I sat in Cabanas watching the people run to the Carnival boat. I must say it was quite amusing!
