freshlybarked 4
Went over to MK last nigh, and although we didn't notice it when we arrived by our FW boat, we certainly saw the effects when leaving at the 11 o'clock close. During a late afternoon storm apparently lightening struck a junction box for the monorail system. Heard this from our boat captain. The crowds were amazing. All the boats were in service trying to get people to and from. Lines to the ferry's were up to the bag check-in stations. We got around the crowds to get to the resort launches. Still had to wait over 30 minutes. They were using the little launches and the bigger ones were taking 60 people from the Wilderness Lodge line and 60 people from the FW line. Took us 1 hour to get back.
Lou... 3,118
I'm absolutely shocked to hear that the monorails were down, that never happens. If anyone is ever there when the monorails are down, and you probably will be, in addition to more boats being put into service to handle the TTC crowds, a dedicated bus stop and buses are also put into service to handle guests going to the monorail resorts and TTC.
