rdancemom... Pam 113
We'll be camping closer to home this summer but the goal is to be somewhere at least every other week. We're thinking of going just up the road to Codorus State Park outside of Hanover, Pa later this week to be there for the Festival in the Park and we'll likely go back there several times in the coming months. It's almost close enough to be like camping in the backyard but it's out, plus the programs there & pool are really nice. We'll also be between CGs in Gettysburg,Pa and Catoctin Mountain Park in Thurmont, Md a lot. Each of those areas are an easy 30-45 mins of home so that we can still keep the cats, bird, rats, chinchillas, and fish fed (what a pain... anybody want a new pet or two?) plus get DD21 back & forth to work easily. We have Jellystone in Quarryville planned for 7/3 - 7/8 as long as DD21 can either get the time off, or a ride to work while we're gone. Just got an email with a special rate reduction b/c they still have unfilled sites too. In past years, there's almost always been a waiting list there throughout the entire summer, so I'm really wondering if this is another sign that more people are really cutting back...and finally, a FW trip planned from Aug 7 - Aug 23.
