Quote The race themes for the 2025 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend at Walt Disney World have been revealed, and feature a hero-focused lineup of characters. 2025 Springtime Surprise Weekend The weekend includes a 5K, 10K, a 10-Miler, and the Springtime Surprise Challenge (19.3 miles). The key art for each race features a different Disney, Pixar, or Marvel hero in action. Groot from Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy” is the inspiration for the 5K. Hercules from the Disney animated film of the same name represents the 10K race. The 10-Miler features Elastigirl from Pixar’s “The Incredibles” films. The Springtime Surprise Challenge features none other than Baymax in his armor from “Big Hero 6.” The challenge combines all three races for a total of 19.3 miles. The Springtime Surprise Weekend will be April 3-6, 2025. Each race will have its own themed finisher medal, and the Challenge will offer a fourth medal. Registration for the race weekend will begin on August 20, 2024 for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members, with general registration opening on August 27 at 10 a.m. ET.
