So until things improve in terms of the virus, the numbers should stay low. We were at Epcot and Magic Kingdom last weekend and it was very empty. Magic Kingdom was great; very well run as well. Epcot was strange. The lack of the International program really changes the atmosphere and a lot of the shops and restaurants are closed. Heading to the Fort Friday for about 10 days. Should be interesting.
Travisma 1,317
For the most part, news outlets are reporting that attendance is well below what Disney was expecting. Even if they open up the parks to higher attendance counts, the experts are speculating that some families with children are not planning on going to the parks. But in the same vein, some FB posters are saying the parks are mobbed. There was an interesting FB post that showed the difference in attendances between Saturday and weekdays. Most of the best days were Tuesday/Wednesday.

There was an interesting FB post that showed the difference in attendances between Saturday and weekdays. Most of the best days were Tuesday/Wednesday. This past weekend, we were at Magic Kingdom on Sunday. It was more crowded than when my wife went a week earlier. However, this was also the first weekend where both the cast member's pass as well as the associated spouse and guest passes were unblocked for the parks. In addition, it was the last weekend before school started for most of the counties around Disney, and Orlando County started the previous Friday. That added to the attndance. With all of that said, attendance wasn't bad; empty in the morning and not bad in the afternoon. We rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in the morning with about a 15 minute wait and again in the afternoon with a 25 minute wait (sign said 35 minutes). Not bad at all. Travisma 1,317
I was able to locate the article about the differences between the weekend attendance and weekdays. https://blogmickey.com/2020/08/how-much-worse-is-it-to-visit-disney-world-on-the-weekends/ This are the most surprising differences at AK Just like the other parks, Saturday is the busiest day of the week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom too. Unlike normal trends in the past, we don’t see a fluctuation in the days of the week that are busy for a theme park. Now, the advice is: avoid the weekends at all costs. When compared to other days of the week, here’s how Saturday’s wait times stacked up: 10% longer waits than Sunday 121% longer waits than Friday 134% longer waits than Thursday 146% longer waits than Wednesday 128% longer waits than Tuesday 123% longer waits than Monday The data is shocking. While other theme parks have double-digit differences in wait times, Animal Kingdom kicks it up a notch and hits triple-digit differences between the weekends and weekdays. If there is any park where it’s outright silly to visit on the weekends, it has to be Animal Kingdom.
LONE-STAR 370
We only go to the parks during the weekdays. Weekend we hang at the Fort.
