BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Quote Walt Disney World theme park operating hours reduced beginning September 8 36 minutes ago in "Magic Kingdom" Walt Disney World theme park operating hours will be reduced beginning September 8 2020. Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios will lose an hour each, with EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom each losing 2 hours. The new operating hours line-up looks like this: Magic Kingdom will reduce hours from 9am - 7pm to 9am - 6pm. EPCOT will reduce hours from 11am - 9pm to 11am - 7pm. Disney's Animal Kingdom will reduce hours from 8am - 6pm to 9am - 5pm. Disney's Hollywood Studios will reduce hours from 10am - 8pm to 10am - 7pm. The updated hours currently run through to the end of October, which is the end of the published hours at this time. You can view the full hours here. EPCOT has been the most badly impacted with attendance falling far below expectations The theme parks are continuing to see struggling attendance as COVID-19 cases continue to remain at high levels in Florida. In a recent earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said that there was ample demand prior to the surge in Florida cases, which subsequently dropped off as guests became wary of traveling to Florida. 50% of guests are still traveling from a distance, with the remainder coming from within Florida. Attendance from long distance visitors has been replaced by local and annual passholders where possible, but it was noted that locals do not carry the same spending value as those who travel further and stay for longer. A higher level of cancellations has also been seen since the rise in cases which was not apparent when the parks were announced to be reopening. Travisma 1,317
But yet it’s still hard to get an AP reservation
LONE-STAR 370
I am not real happy about this, we like being in the parks late into the night. Oh well at least there staying open. Maybe when it's time for our trip the hours will be later again.
Robin 48
We had planned a early September trip after spring got cancelled. We ending up cancelling again. Have a new reservation for May. Hope and pray things are better then. For us it is a long way to drive and not alot of park time. If we lived closer that would probably be a different story. We also tend to stay late and are not big morning people.

We've pretty much given up on a trip this year and are focusing on (hopefully) a couple of weeks next fall.

Ivy 36
Same with us. We had a spring trip and fall trip canceled this year. Hoping for a trip next fall.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
It's a bummer but in the meantime we keep racking up our Chase rewards points. By the time we finally go next we may have enough to pay for 2 annual passes! #silverlinings momof3kids-Yvonne and fladogfan aka Gretchen 1
keith_h 420
We had planned a trip to the Fort for February of next year as this year we needed to get up to the Chicago area to see Rene's folks. The virus threw all of those plans out the window and left us in limbo since her folks have talked about visiting us next year but have no idea of when. If they comer earlier in the year we might try for F&W between Halloween and Thanksgiving.
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
Speaking of next fall... anyone know if they've opened up the reservation system out to 499 days yet?

I gave Jason our dates for Halloween 2021, and last time he checked it still wasn't open for reservations.
