PGHFiend 140
If you haven't seen this, prepare yourself as its vulgar and disturbing that some people have no respect for family let alone others around them. My issue with it is that it took Disney nearly 5 minutes to respond other than a custodian who happened to be in the area. They should have been on this within 30 seconds, especially with all the money generated by the parks, there should be enough funds to have plain clothes security all over. Ridiculous. Katman1356...Jason 1,140
Apparently from other reports this wasnt the only incident going on at that time. The other problem is Toontown is kind of back in a weird corner of the park. Takes time to get the right people from where they are to over there.

fladogfan aka Gretchen 259
Red shirt guy should have been ushered off WDW property and put on a ban. Jail would be OK also.

I don't care if they were in the farthest reaches of the parks, there should be way more security. fladogfan aka Gretchen
fladogfan aka Gretchen 259
Watched again. Do you think they are trying to do some kind of set up to sue Disney? The whole bunch of them should have had an escort off property.

The report I read said the family was escorted out of the park and told to leave. I can't imagine for what charges they could sue Disney. Park Security turned them over to Anaheim police, who initially didn't arrest anyone because no one wanted to press charges. Now that the police have seen the video, they are reviewing whether or not they can bring charges based on that. I hope they do. I'd think: 'Disturbing the peace, assault and creating a public nuisance' could apply.

BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
This is alllllll of the crazy (highlight is mine)... Quote Since the fight occurred, we have learned that all of the people involved were members of the same family, and even though there is video proof of the altercation, those involved are denying that the fight happened. This week, the Anaheim police presented the case to the Orange County District Attorney’s office for review and prosecution. ...According to Fox5 San Diego, a spokesman for the Anaheim city attorney’s office shared that decision on whether to file charges in the case will come after police finish their investigation. https://insidethemagic.net/2019/07/disneyland-fight-investigation-ba1/?fbclid=IwAR1ZqZwQSlamO-Y_HtikveT4NM-4JCnA1jNkZGjywayDHEnJnCVeRzxujiw
bhall 115
It probably would not be PC to follow through with charges.
kadancer 82
The only feasible law suit from this could come from the other park guests that had to witness and intervene in this abysmal situation. And, unfortunately, they won't sue the folks at fault because Disney has the deeper pockets. fladogfan aka Gretchen
BradyBzLyn...Mo 2,023
So not surprisingly, video = charges, and some pretty significant... Quote Disneyland Guests Charged for fighting in Mickey’s Toontown on: July 23, 2019 The three guests have now been charged for the fight that occurred in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland earlier this month according to prosecutors. The fight happened on July 5th and was caught on video. Avery Desmond-Edwinn Robinson, 35, of Las Vegas, has been charged with five felonies and nine misdemeanors. He allegedly attacked his sister, brother-in-law and girlfriend, and endangered his child and three other children, according to a report issued from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He is also accused of assaulting a Disneyland cast member and threating to kill a family member when they were trying to leave a parking structure according to the report as well. Avery’s sister, 40-year-old Andrea Nicole Robinson of Compton, was charged with five misdemeanors, including four counts of battery and one count of assault. The woman’s husband, 44-year-old Daman Petrie of Compton, has been charged with one misdemeanor count of battery, according to the prosecution. According to KTLA Avery Robinson is scheduled for arraignment on Tues and if found guilty he could serve seven years and four months in state prison and Andrea Robinson could face up to 2 1/2 years in prison if she is convicted of all charges. https://chipandco.com/disneyland-guests-charged-for-fighting-in-mickeys-toontown-359639/?fbclid=IwAR1nRuxoJCOb1x8ynBs7jwKfw_DlIQRKqELqBE2Q0RVndDbCTKcPPdarR3o

Travisma 1,317
The CM that got punched in the face by a guest at Tower of Terror declined to press charges. I’m guessing at the urging of Disney management. Disney did ban the guest for life.

My guess is if you buy your tickets online, keep a low profile and behave yourself, you may be able to get in. But then... what are the odds these folks will be good about behaving themselves??
