Lou... 3,118
By Jason Garcia and Sara K. Clarke, Orlando Sentinel9:43 a.m. EDT, May 2, 2011os-cfb-tourism-0502-20110501 Walt Disney World and its largest labor group have struck a tentative deal on a new contract for part-time employees, in a quick negotiation that lacked any of the acrimony that marred contract talks with full-time workers. The new contract affects approximately 10,000 "casual regular" workers at Disney World represented by the Service Trades Council. It includes bonuses worth as much as $275 for part-time workers who don't earn tips and $50 for part-time workers who do, said Donna-Lynne Dalton, the trades council president. It also adds two more holidays ? Dr. Martin Luther King Day and Labor Day ? to the list of days on which part-time workers can get holiday pay. What a joke. I know of only one part timer that even belongs to the totally useless & irrelevant Teamsters union at WDW. I'd rather flush my money down the toilet. I'd sure get a lot more satisfaction out of it. doodlebug....Cherie 461
Don't even get me started on the Teamsters. Mike was a Teamster for 20 years. When he needed them they flushed big time
