DaveInTN 3,247
The year of a million schemes keeps rolling along. I guess if you're paying $2,500/ night to stay in an over water bungalow, what's $12,000 for a 1 day park tour. https://wdwnt.com/2019/01/new-world-of-dreams-12000-tour-being-offered-at-walt-disney-world-offers-cinderella-castle-suite-access-and-more/ keith_h and BradyBzLyn...Mo

AuburnJen 777
I told my sister about this and her reply was, "If you split the cost between six people, then it is only 2K a piece." That is not so bad. She needs to go to Disney more and experience the drain on the wallet, lol
Travisma 1,317
I saw this yesterday and just shook my head in disbelief. Again, Disney is a huge money making behemoth and you can't fault them, but they are really becoming a park for the haves and not the general public.
ImDownWithDisney 342
Alcohol is included. So if you went with 5 more heavy drinkers you could make Disney lose money for the day. keith_h

Seals 111
I wonder why alcohol is in quotation marks!? All meals included (3 a day, with select “alcohol”) I'm usually immune to Disney schemes but I have to say if I had $2000 to spare (going with 5 other people) this would be a fun way to spend a special day. And I gaurentee you that if I was spending $2000/ person we would be eating at Victoria & Albert's Chef's Table, $250/ person and doing the wine pairing, $150/ person. And would end the evening with several snifters of Louis XIII. 😂

Yeah I would do that, but it would cost me 4k. There is no way i could sneak off without the wife in tow.
djsamuel 322
My wife was in the Magic Kingdom with friends yesterday. It was crowded, and she noticed a small group being led onto a ride with 2 guest service cast members (which is provided with this tour). The thing that bothered her was the fact that the people in the group were smoking around the regular guests, and the guest service cast members did nothing about it. I wonder if that is one of the additional perks.

And it'll cost a lot less than $12,000. Well...a little less anyways. fladogfan aka Gretchen, BradyBzLyn...Mo and keith_h

Yeah... that's not cool at all. Maybe the marketing department can rename it "The Totally Awesome Break All The Rules And Piss Off All The Other Guests VIP Tour" 11 hours ago, ImDownWithDisney said: Not when you factor in child support djsamuel and DaveInTN
Duane 152
I don't care how Disney "packages" this scheme... for $12K they better be successfully raising the dead... Anything less, then they could throw in a couple of Fastpasses!
keith_h 420
It says it is only a 12 hour day so on extended opening days does that mean if you go at rope drop they kick you out 12 hours later. I also wonder how they will handle bookings since the suite is used for things like Make a Wish. Do you share it, do they forgo $12K, do they kick the freeloaders out? First of all, you don't go to rope drop because you have Front of the line attraction access Access to any restaurant at Walt Disney World (no normal reservations needed) Only the poor common folks who have to stand in line or depend on reservations do rope drop. Second of all, you get A tour of the Cinderella Castle Dream Suite Only the mega rich get to actually stay there (not sure if that's true right now but I'm sure it's coming in the $20,000 per day World Of Even Bigger Dreams package). PGHFiend 140
If this was a week or 5 days for the money they could sell a ton of these. Amazing cash grab, paid fast passes can't be far behind here.

My sources tell me that paid FP has been repeatedly discussed for WDW (ala MaxPass at Disneyland), but WDW management has continued to push back on crossing that line. But I did hear something about Magical Express no longer being a free service. You heard that here first. TCD

Yes, but SeaWorld never had any type of free Quick Queue passes. They have always been for pay.
