Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Great report. A perfect weekend getaway. What is that building in the background of the LED photos? TCD

It has a full bath downstairs. Then upstairs, there is a loft bedroom. It also has a small screened porch. and a decent sized deck where the guests had erected a canopy. Seals 111
LOL I hope you brought some other food. Reminds me of the commercial where the father and daughter are fishing and he says he guesses they'll be eating cereal for dinner. Looks like a nice location.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
Oh yes, steaks and baked potatoes for dinner with sauteed mushrooms, and then cinnamon rolls and oatmeal for breakfast 🙂 We never count on eating fish when we go out fishing. momof3kids-Yvonne 596
This is that campground where Judy and I stayed over Labor Day a few years back. I really liked it. I think the worst part was the drive over as they were working on 72/31. Is that done now?
keith_h 420
Your site looks so empty compared to your Fort pictures.
mouseketab.....Carol 1,261
We didn't have any construction. For some reason though, we didn't take 31. We took 65 to the Beltline, then took the backroads there. 14 hours ago, Grumpy and Grandma said: They now have 3 levels of CG's. Journey, Holiday and Resort. So amenities have to match the classification. While it was nice, there was some maintenance that needed to be done. This is "barely" a Holiday. They have 3 of those cabins. They rent kayaks, bikes, and canoes. They have a boat ramp, and swimming area. However, the grass needs cutting, the "wood" frames around the sites have seen better days, and the stair rails on our "two-level" campsite were almost dangerous. The owners took it over from TVA, added the cabins and the rentals, and bought a KOA franchise. It's only been 3 years though, so maybe they are still working on it. The folks working there are really nice though. I'm not really complaining though. We had a nice time, and being lakeside is awesome.
