The building began a refurbishment earlier this year and the work is still continuing. What was once The Wonders of Life Pavilion in Future World at The Walt Disney World Resort’s Epcot has been used as the Festival Center for special events, including The International Food and Wine Festival, in recent years. But this building is getting a facelift – or maybe becoming something entirely new?! Although it does appear that it will be used as the Festival Center again this year during the 2018 International Food and Wine Festival! The Festival Center is the information center for Food and Wine! It’s also home to demonstrations, tastings, merchandise sales, book signing & meet and greets and more! At the 2018 International Food and Wine Festival here are a few thing you will find at the Festival Center: Back to the Basics: Industry top culinary pros will share with you delish tips and tricks that’ll have a profound effect on your next meal. With insights on techniques, products and easy-to-follow fixes, your epicurean expertise is sure to soar! Back To Basics sessions are held at the Festival Center Spotlight Stage on Fridays through Sundays at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Junior Chef Kitchen presented by Krusteaz®: New this year, “Junior Chefs,” under the guidance of a Disney Chef, will make, decorate and sample their own pancake creations using fun recipes. Participants will also receive their very own chef hat, apron and certificate of completion. n Junior Chef Kitchen sessions are held at the Festival Center Spotlight Stage on select Sundays at 11:00 AM: The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar – Hosted by Ghirardelli® Chocolate Company: Immerse yourself in the sights, smells and flavors of chocolate—the world’s most famous flavor! Marvel at chocolate sculptures created by our own Walt Disney World Resort pastry chefs and explore the journey chocolate must take to get from the bean to the bar.
